My name is Ronan Murray i am the owner of Irishpikefishingguides. I am based in County Cavan and with the vast amount of lakes, rivers and water at my fingertips it is quite simply a fisherman’s paradise. I offer a guided fishing trip that is tailored to each customer and i also offer float tubes experience also. Trip includes all top of the range gear, and all you will need is warm clothes for a memorable day out.

Had a great day out fishing for pike with Ronan. Had a great day out on the water. I broke my personal best pike not once, not twice but 3 times while out with him. I'd highly recommend booking with Irish Pike Fishing Guides as his knowledge is second to none and he uses the best gear. Already looking forward to going again.

Ronan is an outstanding Guide who can literally make your angling dreams a reality. I have been lucky enough to fish with Ronan a number of times and each trip has been a day to treasure.
I cannot recommend Ronan too highly, whether you are a novice or experienced angler looking for a new Personal Best fish you will not be disappointed.
Ronan's enthusiasm and knowledge of the quarry make for a great combination and add to an overall experience that you will remember for many years to come.

I've fished in Ireland for 5+ years and had the best day on the water I've ever had with Ronan in early December, 2022. I fish extensively around the world and appreciate when a guide has the incredible experience that Ronan has. We fished for a full day for pike and his skill and knowledge were absolutely top class. He was professional, courteous and quite entertaining as well, with great local folklore. If you're thinking of fishing in Ireland, you need to spend a day or two with Ronan. I can't wait to be back on the water with him again soon.

As a beginner (but not a novice) pike fishing enthusiast, I really relished spending a couple of days with a guide who would not only show me the basics but also how and where to locate these predators on any given lake and what equipment really worked. Ronan brought me to various lakes over the course of the two days, explained how I should view and approach the lake and what methods to start out with. The lakes were idyllic and weather was really nice. It wasn't long before we hooked into the first of quite a few pike. We tried various methods from boat fishing on day one to float tubing on day two. We used various lures, some which had immediate impact. We also tried deadbaiting. It was a great experience, a complete and utter detox from an otherwise busy work day and we caught plenty of pike, including a few into double figures. Ronan is a sound man, has plenty of really good advice, tips and stories and has no issues sharing his experience. He even made me a toasted sandwich on the fly at lunchtime which wasn't expected at all. Overall, a great two days on the beautiful lakes of Cavan-Monaghan. Well recommended!!!

In a word, a great fishing guide, he always knows where to find the pike and has the best gear for it. Resulting in five days of fishing 85 pike of which three are over the meter long in one day. This was now the second time we have booked with him and the next one has already been booked. Ronan Murray the very best Irish Fising Guide.

I had two days guides pike fishing with Irish Pike Fishing Guides (Ronan Murray recently. Both were excellent experiences. Ronan has a superb knowledge of the lakes and rivers, he knows how to find the fish even in challenging weather conditions. We caught some excellent size Pike and all were safely returned to the water. Ronan supplies all the fishing tackle and bait so all you have to do is enjoy the day. Don’t worry if you are inexperienced he will show you what to do to hook and land the fish. I would recommend booking a guided fishing day with Ronan and will certainly be having another in the coming months.

Great day from start to finish, ronan is such a friendly nice guy, always found it hard myself to catch pike well not today as my father and I landed 24 pike aboard ronan’s boat, with his knowledge and experience on these lakes he is a must go if your looking to do some pike fishing. We’re already booked in again. Can’t speak highly enough of ronan easiest 5 stars I ever gave.

Ronan was a terrific host and guide for our full day of fishing. He met us at the hotel and has every bit of gear you need. We had tea and a field cooked cheese toast for lunch before getting to our second location. Then we hit some big fish! We caught six pike during the day, one was a 28 pound monster (my wife's first ever fish!).
Ronan was a terrific host and we enjoyed spending an entire day on the boat with him. He is extremely organized, professional, and certainly knows where to find the fish. I highly recommend him as your Irish pike fishing guide.

yes f you want a great day on the water, then look no further. Ronan is a great fella and no one works harder to put you on the fish. nothing is any trouble and tye former guide will even make you toastie and a cuppa soup at lunch. but don’t listen to me, book up and go!

We had a great day out with Ronan . He is very knowledgeable in pike fishing and put us on the big fish throughout the day . We met alot of fish trolling and casting meeting double figure pike . If you want a big Irish pike I would highly recommend booking a date with Ronan !
