This is a great restored castle. We did not stay for the banquet. If you want to do the banquet, make sure you make reservations. They were booked the two days we were in this area.

Unique experience which we loved! Costumed people from the era were in character during this event. After a taste of mead, some entertainment, and choosing of the king and queen, our group was led to the dining hall. Bottomless pitchers of red and white wine...More

Even though the food was mediocre and the wine was terrible, it’s still was a fun night.. Actors and actresses are fun to watch and the singing was great. And of course the atmosphere in the old castle made the night a fun experience.

This was my first event of this sort and I was pleasantly surprised. The staff of 10 entertainers greeted you at the door in costume. They stayed in character all evening. Everyone gathered in the great hall for a drink and a song. Then we...More

Touring the castle should be done earlier as during the dinner the staff is utilizing the stairs and hallways. You will love the dinner.

It does cost to walk the grounds. It is well worth it. There is an old fashion village, fairy garden and lots of animals. You should plan for a few hours. There is a lovely tea room right in the center.
