As I was born in Buncrana, I can honestly say that the walk from Neds Point is one of the best walks you will have. It's beautiful especially in the summer, early morning before the rush.

The views of Lough Swilly are worth the walk up the hill to Father Hegarty's Rock which is said to be the priest's burial ground. it was where he said Mass during the Penal Times.

One of the places to stop and visit on the Buncrana Shore Path walk. Not a nice part of our history to think about. Nevertheless, a beautiful spot for your final resting place.

We did lots of walking in Buncrana and a walk along to Father Hegarty Rock is a must! Its a lovely coastal walk, beaches/bays/cliffs..... It was busy with people walking and on bikes. They are a number of places to have a seat.
