We have driven on this road when we want to take in the natural landscape. Once we drove it, and never encountered another car! If you happen to get this chance, bring your camera and take some snapshots of the scenery, especially when you come...More

We drove thru the forest on military road shortly after the wildfires and we ended up in the clouds - while there wasn't much to see (we could barely see 50ft outside of the car), it was an amazing drive and at one point it...More

You could be in any of the scenic counties of Ireland yet you are only half an hour from Dublin. Wonderful scenery and a healthy day out.

This area of Ireland is truly beautiful. The scenery is outstanding. Spring of the year heather is in bloom and the lushness apparent. An easy drive from Dublin going towards Kilkenny.

This drive was amazing. The landscape consisted of desolate hills covered in old heather and tussock grass and in places, drifts of unmelted ice from the snowfalls a few weeks ago. We encountered hung lakes and waterfalls. Just stunning!

Even on a foggy day this route is worth driving, but, especially on a gloriously sunny day or just after a storm, when the light is simply stunning. I drive in this area all the time, and I always feel at peace there.

Drove thru Sally Gap along the Military Road on our way to Glendaloch. Make sure you have enough gas..nothing available that I saw. Drive reminds me of the Burren but more isolated. Would not recommend this drive at night so plan accordingly. We enjoyed the...More

To get on the R115, head for South Dublin- Ballyboden, and reference Rathfarnham Golf Club. R115 runs south from there towards Enniskerry and Powerscourt. Personally, if I was touring that area, I'd later deviate towards... More

It isn't very far at all. Just follow the signs and there will be a small station to pay a minimal fee and the Powerscourt Falls is beautiful.
