Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Good quiet overnight spot for the motorhome, off the main road with toilets. Lovely walk along the Loch with the dogs in the morning.

We stayed here in our camper, pre-booking one of the few spaces available. (These permits are needed 'in season'.

The site gives access to the loch and its shore, views across the loch, a short-ish length of old road along the river bank. There are toilets and rubbish disposal facilities.

A legit off-road stop-over place, especially useful for when travelling thorough. Cant really be seen as a campsite per se

Been to much better, been to much worse.
Stopped over in our van, I did pre pay to stay over the night as per the park rules. Turned up at 5pm ish and cars not in car parking places, blocked the van spaces until gone 7pm which is meant to be paid only times.
Toilets were useable, bonus to have toilets I guess so all good.
Great to have a BBQ on the beach before the midges set in, most people cleared up after themselves which was nice.
Midges at dawn after a night of showers were relentless. Highly suggest staying behind closed doors until they’ve gone!
Overall ok.

Brilliant stop for picnic and gorgeous views. Toilets, picnic tables and a little beach with photogenic views over Loch Lomond. There is a turning lane but it’s not signposted, so be ready to spot the turn after Inverbervie (going n)

Great for relaxing and embracing nature particularly if with dogs but be very careful when it comes to the many ticks in the area for Lyme disease is a real concern. Lovely scenery and ambience particularly if you go when it’s quiet.

We purposely came here as its on my map of places with rude and amusing names. To some it's a firkin daft idea but for me I'm highly amused.

What's firkin on offer you ask? There's not a firkin lot if I'm honest. I was kind of disappointed at first as the name kind of suggested a look out area os somewhere of height over looking the Loch. Instead it's a pretty quiet secluded beach area ovet looking Ben Lomond.

It has great views up and down the Loch with little trails round about to go exploring. Perfect place for a dip in the loch. The site also has free parking.

The toilet block is currently closed but the cleanest portaloo's in the land are just a little way down the car park.

Little disappointed with it not being a firkin lookout point but there are still some lovely firkin views.

Worth a visit. Flat stone beach with some trees for shade. Clear water, water shoes helpful with stony ground. Quickly becomes deep water. May be difficult if you're driving there as parking limited.

What a beautiful hidden gem. Myself and my partner parked here for my partner to do some fishing and it was so beautiful and tranquil. There is a toilet block which was kept clean and plenty of picnic benches.
A few people was camping whilst we were there and it looked a good camping spot.
Unfortunately my partner didn’t catch any fish but feared we were a little too late in the day to catch anything.
