Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Favorit beach in Hua Hin a bit south of the city. Having s house in Hua Hin, this is the bea h we prefer to visit. Long and sandy, but a small walk to be able reach water depth enough to swim. Some motorized options but not the bee swarm buzz many other place. Possible also to take a horse ride. Plenty restaurants. Also nice to watch the activity in the fishing harbour, adjacent to the beach.

The water was a little brown and the sand had a dirty look to it. An onshore wind blew for several days making the water look a yucky brown and washing up plenty of plastic rubbish onto the beach. Not a place you would take the kids for a dip.

Located abt 4-5 km south of Hua Hin Center, this is the place to go when it's too windy in Hua. Take the 10 Baht Local bus, and walk about 5-10 minutes. It is located to the right of Khao Tkiab Mountain (Monkey Hill). Water is warmer and clearer, enough sun chairs, good restaurants and so on..
Viisit the localport while you are there.....good lunch opportunities. FRESH SEAFOOD and reasonable prices.

It takes around 10 min with a Tuuk Tuk to the beach from
inner Hua Hin.
I like this beach very much. There are several restaurants
and bars along this beach. But they are all in the beginning
of the beach. It is long walk if you would like to do that.
It is very clean and clear water. A good place to go also for
family's. Safe for children.
Dont forget to make a deal with the driver that takes you so you
will get a return trip back to your hotel. This is important.

Enjoyed this beach much more than Hua Hin beach - not as crowded and found fossil shark teeth here!!
Sept 2016 • Couples
This beach is much cleaner and not nearly as crowded as the more popular Hua Hin Beach! At Hua Hin Beach you have to keep an eye out for piles of pony poo and trash. Khao Takiap Beach is relaxing, more quiet and good for shelling! We found 5 fossil shark teeth here (all from different sharks), a piece of fossil bone and a fossil crab claw. Did not know fossils could be found in this area of Thailand. Need to research this more! Paleontology is one of my hobbies. Wish we had more time to comb the beach here - next time!

A great place with 2 beaches there are 2 beaches, Hua Hin beach runs all the way into Khao Takiap. Then there is monkey mountain beach about 5 to 8 minutes away, it is great with many sea food restaurants serving super fresh sea food. All you could want the food is fantastic so fresh and sweet strait from the sea. Lunch for 2 with drinks £20 and included in that you will get a sun bed all day long. It's worth every penny I live here and go at least every 2 weeks love it never crowded even in high season. If you come here and don't go you will miss out on a lovely day.A high light of a holiday here. Don't miss out.

Situated at the southern end of Hua Hin beach, it is well worth the journey on the Songtaew to get there. We also walked the 5 km a couple of days. The water is clear and the sand clean. You can hire sunbeds and umbrellas very cheaply and just wander into one of the small restaurants for a drink or food, or you can order and eat where you are. There is Chopstick Mountain with a Buddha statue and lots of monkeys providing a display of their antics every day.

A long stretch of beach, from the hill with monkeys (chopstick hill I think) then it turns into Hua Hin Beach. There is at one point a sewer and this is closer to the Hua Hin end and to be avoided. The beach has mini crabs all over it, which run away as you approach. You can walk bare foot no problem. There are washed up jellyfish, as on any beach. There aren't any cafes etc, you have to walk for quite a while to get to one, again closer to Hua Hin. But you can walk or go for a run, with no one bothering you, no sellers etc. There are other people walking and running and so it's perfectly safe if you are on your own. You can set up a picnic and have plenty of space to yourself. We walked about 4km, enjoying the sound of the sea. I wouldn't go in the sea as this area of beach Cha-am, Hua Hin etc has had box jellyfish around this time of year, so I wouldn't risk it in the sea.
