Beautiful Tranquil gardens
Aug 2021
Beautiful tranquil relaxing space. The staff and volunteers are extremely friendly and helpful too. We joined and use this space to unwind from the stresses of life and work.
Lovely tea and homemade cakes and plant stall . Plants very good quality.
Would highly recommend a visit to these wonderful gardens.

Wonderful place
Jul 2021
This was a stop off for us after a weekend away, I’m a keen gardener and this place is lovely. Easy parking, teas, coffees and homemade cakes, little shop and a small plant sales area. Stayed just over an hour, very inspiring and tidy site. Some areas closed off due to tree works, but I knew that before visiting.

Very Covid safe and comfortable. Would highly recommend.

Lovely gardens, with a huge variety of plants.

Lovely gardens, with a huge variety of plants.
Plenty of parking, and not too busy on a Sunday afternoon.
It would be nice to see more labels to identify the plants, and maybe a few more seats, if possible, for those with less mobility. It was well laid out, though not all areas were open to us because of tree cutting, so it was a little smaller than expected, but what an achievement, to create all this from scratch!

Wonderful location, trees, plants, water, a delightful and relaxing place to be. I had a real fantasy about living in the house. Good tea and cake too. Just wish more of the plants, trees and shrubs had labels.

Idyllic

Booking was necessary and I would recommend arriving early as there is only a small carpark. The gardens are beautiful, set around the water with many little winding pathways. We enjoyed a peaceful stroll around the gardens followed by tea and cake outside. The Covid safety measures were impressive.

A beautiful and tranquil garden in rural Suffolk
Sep 2020 • Family
We discovered Fullers Mill Garden after visiting the adjacent Anglo Saxon Village at West Stow. Fullers Mill Garden is 7 acres of meandering paths among rivers, streams and ponds. It is a secluded and tranquil spot that is well worth visiting. At present it is necessary to reserve a time in advance but even with the car park full the gardens were very peaceful.

Lovely Summer Evening visit
Aug 2020
We were among a group of naturists who had made a special booking to visit these gardens on Sunday. The gardens are very beautiful and are set out well with the narrow River Lark meandering through them. The welcome, like the weather was warm and it was nice to have refreshments in the open air. The carrot cake was delicious. Hope to visit again - not necessarily as naturists.

A wonderful and Stunning garden with a great team of Gardeners and Volunteers. Definitely a must visit destination. With many unusal plants partly set in woodland and beside the river lark. Great free parking, seating areas and shop for refreshments and home made cakes. Its a gem.

Our first visit, but won't be the last
Aug 2020
What a little gem! This was a real treat, and £5 each very well spent. Yes, the paths meander, and yes, some plants are staked or tied up, but that is part of creating a living, ever-changing garden. There are several distinctly different "environments" (water loving plants, alpine garden, woodland plants, all interspersed with plenty of variety - we loved it. Congratulations to the gardeners and volunteers, and thanks for a memorable visit. Look forward to returning.

Lovely Gardens Disappointing Welcome
Aug 2020
Visited on Sunday 2nd August 2020, we booked a 14:00 to 15:30 slot. The gardens are well laid out and we were impressed with the large variety of planting, it felt a tranquil place, and we liked the meandering nature of the paths, you always feel you are in the middle of the garden and not walking to another area of the garden. The weather was sunny and warm at times but there is plenty of shade from the variety of trees. The water within the gardens provide a great feature, we saw many butterflies and bees as well as dragon and damsel flies. We very much enjoyed our time within the garden.
However the experience was nearly spoilt at the very beginning when we arrived, the car park is small and inadequate for the numbers of visitors even though all slots are pre booked! When we arrived at 14:05 we could not get parked and had to park in a lay by off the main road some 400 yards away and walk down the main drive to the entrance, this for us was not a problem as we are reasonably fit adults, however if you did not have a blue badge (there were two empty disabled spaces) it would have been too far for some. We checked in and paid for the tickets the woman ( a well spoken mature person) at the desk reminded us that the slot finished at 15:30, so we mentioned the car parking situation as it was 14:25 by this time, and her response was quite surprising, she was very rude, obnoxious and her attitude was totally negative, she showed no empathy to the situation, making excuses that she could not get people to leave on time, we remarked that other places we had visited included a turnaround time within the slots to help with this, her reaction was rude and dismissive showing that she lacked any proper interpersonal customer service skills and was unaware of the website advise to arrive only 5 minutes before , something we pointed out during the conversation! All of which proves that whilst they have slots that have to be pre booked there is NO evidence of any management of their arrival and departure of their visitors.
