Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A lovely place enjoyed by me as a kid and now me with my children, ruined by the not child friendly staff of the Aden shop. Making a single mum of two feel uncomfortable because of her baby crying. As a mum who has only just started leaving the house with her newborn and struggles with the anxiety of it, you made my day ten times worse 👎

This country park has everything! Lots of paths suitable for disabled and pushchairs. Lovely grounds - parkland, woodland, sensory garden, arboretum, ruined mansion house, pond with ducks and swans, marvelous children’s play area, small shop, restaurant and the highlight- the museum. Free, marvelous displays of the development farming in the local area, with very realistic reconstructions, ancient manuscripts and informative attendant. There is a good campsite at the park entrance.

Stayed at the Caravan and Camping site which is off the beaten track, location surrounded by woods and fields. The locality is fairly quiet however, there is a pub that serves food about 10 minutes walk away. Pitches are well set out with water and electricity easily accessible. Kim, the warden who greeted us on the day, was most helpful and informative which made us feel welcome. If I had to point to one area that could be improved, this would be the toilets and showers, whilst they’re clean and serviceable, they are somewhat dated and a little bit 80’s in style. All in all, would I stay at Aden again? That’s a yes from me!

Visited the campsite for a single night, loved it so much that we stayed a second night.

Campsite is beautifully kept , toilets are a little dated but spotless.

Pitches are a good size and Kim the warden is very knowledgeable and helpful

Aden park has a lot to offer

Will definitely return

Not sure if this is run by Aden or independent on the grounds but not great. Went with friends and a bunch of children. For the price paid there should have been so much more. For children there wasn't much interactive things for them to get involved in. Holding an owl, fighting with foam knives and a few other things but in no way was it worth anything close to the money paid. Maybe worth half at best. No toilets and so you had to walk a massive distance to them, asking any question to people there and they couldn't really help.

Stayed a few nights in a tent at this campsite had a really nice time. Quiet area with excellent and clean facilities. Best thing about the campsite was the hospitality I received, Kim (warden) and one of the residents was extremely accommodating and made sure that I had everything I needed. I ended up being quite cold in the tent on one of the nights and they offered me a hot water bottle and and extra duvet. Would recommend this campsite to anyone

Park is close to the Saplinbrae hotel where we were staying and was a great place to visit. Our highlight was the free farming museum where knowledgeable and friendly staff spent time explaining various exhibits. We enjoyed a light lunch in the cafe next door before having a wander round the extensive grounds.
Some renovations were being carried out which will enhance the area for future visits.

Despite the country house being derelict, it's well maintained so you can explore the ruins safely at your own pace. There's a paddling stream with rope swings set up the local kids, and a wonderful arboretum to wander through on the well-kept paths. Relaxing place for a stroll on a pleasant day.

This is a stunning and sprawling country estate and park. It has a plethora of different natural attractions which will keep everyone in the family happy. A fairy glen, a massive children's play park with everything from zip wires to obstacle courses, the most beautiful derelict yet majestic mansion house, a treehouse , a lake, a river, forest walks, cycle tracks, farm museum, cafe and masses of grounds to picnic on. Just perfect for a day out and many return visits.

What more can i say than, the warden is a star, helpful and nice, those that know will know, its rare, 4 miles from home but would rather camp here than hundreds of miles away, the warden makes a place.
