My husband and I did this trip with Pat Sweeney and it was wonderful. We are both nearing 70 and I would be remiss if I didn't say that this isn't for the faint of heart. There are several fairly steep uphill climbs. We thoroughly...More
This was one of the best things we opted to do during our whirlwind trip around the Emerald Isle. Pat was the most wonderful tour guide, and was and is intimately involved with the development of the cliff walk from its inception in 2009 to...More
I did the escorted Doolin Cliff Walk and it was really great. I would strongly recommend doing it. You can book in advance but if you meet Pat outside O'Connor's pub on the day he will add you to the group. You pay Pat with...More
We are two travelers who enjoy scenery but hate the crowds and “tourist” activities. Although seeing the cliffs from the visitor center is pretty, this cliff walk with Pat is in a whole different category. IT WAS AMAZING. Walking with farmers who own a piece...More
I wanted to do the walk by ourselves since we were on a tight schedule but decided to join this tour/walk due to being warned from our B&B hostess about how dangerous it is if it is the slightest bit wet.

Like others, my 13 & 17 year old daughters were not overly excited when I announced I wanted to book a 4-hour walk! Both joined me in declaring the Cliff Walk to be the highlight of our holiday!

An unforgettable hike along the coast that takes you from Doolin up the Cliffs of Moher - one of the most spectacular sights in Europe. Our guide, Pat Sweeney, was a gem. It was about eight miles but worth every step. Skip the bus tour...More
My 11 and 14 year old kids were not thrilled when I told them we were taking a 4 hour hike; but they both LOVED it (as did my husband and I). Pat greeted our group, but we were capably led by his son, Alan....More
Absolutely amazing walk led by Pat, a local guide/farmer and something of a visionary. We loved his stories about the area, his childhood, local history, the history of the trail...in short, we learned so much, had many good laughs, and most importantly: were stunned by...More
There probably is. I know the Cliff walk trail runs from Doolin to Liscannor. So If you could just get to liscannor I am sure there is a guide in that town. There was a guide going from Doolin to the cliffs so surely there... More
There probably is. I know the Cliff walk trail runs from Doolin to Liscannor. So If you could just get to liscannor I am sure there is a guide in that town. There was a guide going from Doolin to the cliffs so surely there is someone local who leads tours the opposite way. Good luck! Enjoy the views!
Sorry for delayed reply. We got the bus from Doolin to the Doolin Visitor Centre where we purchased the tickets - €6 each as I recall. We didn't take the guided tour as we weren't aware of it but heard its really great!.
