Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great stop between wineries and dining for a sweet. Many types of chocolate and fillings. Ice cream usually available, but they were having mechanical issues.

We just got welcomed like “no ss**”
Employees wanted just to close at 4:40 pm , while shop is closing at 5pm . One of the employees was so upset that she made it her own mission to get rid of us asap.. so we ended up with no buying and 2 kids crying .. awful experience…. I hope not everyone is the same in this shop … stay safe !

No more free samples except for milk chocolate, the other varieties have been taken away as samples because the manager as it was explained to me wants more profit, hence taking away white and dark samples, many people complained, very quiet

Came here recently to check out the process of chocolate making and to get some lunch. After a while of free samples I wanted something savoury for lunch. I went up to the cafe and saw that bruschetta was an option. I was immediately excited. It should’ve been a red flag when the prices on the board were blacked out, but I thought oh well you pay for the experience and location. Little did I know, it was going to cost me $17.95 for two bits of bruschetta. I was immediately disgruntled but I thought oh well, ho him I will bite the bullet. Imagine my surprise when the bruschetta came out half an hour after I ordered it. I opened my box excited and ready to dig in. However, the toast was soggy even though there were only 3 tomatoes on each piece. To say there was basil in the description on the board is severely misleading. There were little specks of green here and there but it was merely a garnish. As for presentation, it was messy and looked as if it had been thrown in without love. As far as the patrons go, they were friendly. Overall disappointing visit.

If the food served in the restaurant section was worth the money you were paying or the people serving actually smiled or were remotely interested in their jobs.
The food ordered was expensive for what you got and the quality and taste was just absent.
I generally like to find at least one positive thing about any place I go, but all I can say here is that my overseas guests liked the layout of the place inside.
The chocolate is expensive and there is no care taken with the food or how it is served and nothing to recommend it apart from the free samples.

The cafe area was very dirty as was the shop. Coffee was lukewarm. Had to clear dishes off the table ourselves-not somewhere to linger or revisit.

Chocolates galor! Practically every kind of choc you could think of. Free samples to gorge on. Great cafe with delicious drinks and bites for you to enjoy and hang out.

Despite living in WA, this was my first visit to this "much lauded" establishment! A dear friend and I share birthdays, so we decided to stop here during our day out, we should have kept going!
It was not busy, plenty of parking. The initial reaction was how tranquil and welcoming the grounds and buildings were! The lawns and surrounding plants are well cared for and provide a relaxed welcoming environment.
To the left is a building offering free wine tastings, neither of us are avid drinkers so kept walking to the main entrance.
My goodness! Wall to wall chocolates of varying flavours, sizes, shapes, etc!! One could spend hours just wandering around and perusing all on offer!
We decided to get a coffee and something to eat and sit outside on the verandah before exploring the chocolates. There did not seem to be much on offer, so our order was quite simple, one cappuccino, one flat white, a scone with butter, a chocolate mousse.
We did not wait long at all, before our order arrived. Sadly, the coffees were barely warm, the scone, while looking delightful was rock hard and the two small sachets of Lurpak spread did not cover the entire scone. The chocolate mousse was delicious!!
A quick "zap" in a microwave may have made the scone a more attractive and enjoyable snack!
On the plus side, sitting outside we were able to enjoy the ambience and the surroundings and view all the way to the Darling Ranges.
Not daring to go home without chocolate for the "chocaholic", we wandered around and finally decided to take a package of chocolate and two G & T chocolates home.
Would I recommend to place this on a "must visit" list? No!
Overpriced, lacks pleasant atmosphere and helpful friendly staff, empty tables took quite a while to be cleared of plates etc., and not wiped down. The grounds and the scenery are the only positives!

Terrible food today. Waited over 30 minutes for soup of the day which arrived cold, small side with two tiny pieces of overcooked toast. Won't be back again.

The chocolate here is delicious, and lots of choice. A nice outdoor area to sit and eat from the cafe. There is a window to watch them make the chocolate, but this is more of a retail experience than anything else.
