Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a wonderful place to make a daily escape in the nature.....the walk path around the lake is well maintained and it will guarantee a pleasant and relaxed couple of hours.
The building hosting the museum is amazingly built.
I could give a better review if we could find more descriptions in English :)

Great for excursions, even a business meeting can be held here. We had Luc as our guide, he has been a bookseller for a long time and is only new, but he did a great job, we can only recommend him!

A stunning and surprising piece of architecture in the middle of an ornithological habitat. The infocenter is very nicely done, provides information in a natural way, without going into unnecessary detail. The perhaps only downside is that exhibits and infopanels are not in English

Big disappointment! Of the two possible circular routes, we chose the shorter one. It is almost impossible to see the waters due to the dense vegetation, especially since almost all smaller access routes are blocked by private fishing. No birds. Friends from Luxembourg who have been there many times in all seasons have also seen nothing worth mentioning. Unfortunately, the man in the biodiversity area only spoke French. If you don't speak the language, all questions are irrelevant.

I've never been here in April and was really surprised about the soundscape her, this time of the year. Frogs and all kind of birds made us forget that we are in the middle of civilization.
a funny experience was outside of one of the birdwatching houses, where you are supposed to watch the swans...
We stayed outside just sitting in the sun eating our sandwiches and I noticed this swan swimming all the way from the other side of the lake towards us and just staying there looking at us and obviously begging for some bread. :-)
It was cute to see this big bird, not afraid of us and we spent a very special half an hour in mutual respect with on of the inhabitants of this wonderful little paradise.
The place is worth going to any time of the year as the wildlife adapts to the seasons.
Even though the weather was really suited for a visit, there were very few visitors, we only notice a group of about 20 photographers and birdwatchers from Belgium that were trying to take photos of the "Eurasian kingfisher" who breed and lives here as well.
I think that if they would charge an entrance fee, this place would get it's due appreciation.
We are looking forward to going there again and observe the yearly changes.

Very informative! I loved the insight into the biodiversity of the area, but even more so, I loved the insight into climate change and habitat destruction. And how we as humans depend on our wild environment that we infarct, are part of.
My German is fairly good so I managed, but it’s such a pity that it’s only in German and french. I think it would draw many more people’s interest if it were in English too, and many more people should go! It is a fantastic educational centre of great importance to our future. Well done!! The biodiversum on its own took me about 2hrs.
The walking routes are beautiful. There are several with lots of hides for birdwatching, so you can do 1hr of strolling, or a whole day as you wish. The short route does go near the road for a bit.
It would be better if there was some control over breaking of rules, like don’t feed the birds, don’t play music, dog on leash,.. but more importantly, tell people why. The signs are overlooked, and many people respond better if they knew why.

museum in a huge nature reserve (lakes & river Moselle).
Building itself is very modern and looks attractive :)
Visit for free & enjoy informative exhibitions about the region, especially interesting for bird lovers/watchers.
Until the 14th of February 2019 you can enjoy the temporary exhibition of the "Princess of Schengen" (burial site with her remains was discovered 25 years ago and dated back 500 years BC).

If you like the real nature, and if you have interess in ornithology, this place is right for a wonderful walk around the lake and the moselle ; the new construction of the building has a modern architecture and it's recent; there are also good restaurants on the moselle riverside.
