Great place for family walks. There are ponds so beware if you have small children with you. You do have to pay for car park.

If you fancy a breath of fresh air & a quiet walk in the country, then why not make your way to Danbury country Park. There are long walks to be had around the lakes & grassy open spaces & woodland, there is a wildlife pond & an ancient brick icehouse in the wood. There are toilet facilities available to... More

So great to return to somewhere I used to enjoy as a child & to see my own kids now enjoying the park too. It's changed a little since I was younger but the spooky tree is still there

Lovely place for a stroll - annoying car park charges as £3 fixed fee - should have short stay and longer stay options ; otherwise enjoy

The Accessible Countryside for Everyone -ACE, recommends this park for wheelchair walks, stating that the paths around the lake are suitable for wheelchair users. Having read the wonderful reviews on how lovely the park is, I decided to take my 86 year old mother, who has great difficulty in walking. We parked in the carpark by the 2 lakes and... More

Going back to a childhood haunt doesn't often live up to expectations, but this definitely did. There were a fair amount of children running about a) Summer hols and b) Wild Wednesday, but even so they were all in one area den building etc, so a stroll through the dappled woods, sit by the lake in the shade watching the... Nice surroundings for a picnic with friends. Saw deer roaming. Plenty of healthy outdoor space for children to play and climb trees!
