Grand Beach is only an hour and 10 minutes away from Winnipeg and totally worth the trip. The town has gas a grocery store to buy food, alcohol, lottery so anything you forgot at home you can buy there. There are lots of cottage rentals if needed as well. The beach it's self is so beautiful and the sand is... More

Only just over an hour north of winnipeg this beach is a must see! The white sand beach and sand dunes are unlike any beach in Manitoba. The water of Lake Winnipeg can still be relatively cold in the summer but once you get in you won't notice anymore. The waves can reach 3-6 feet on a windy day -... More

The beautiful white sand stretches for kilometres all the way to Lester Beach. A great walk starts at the west beach, cross the channel bridge and all the way to the end of the east beach. Growing up in the area we always went to the beach but never walked all the way to the end. It is so remote... More

This is a very nice Provincial park. The white sandy beaches reminded us of Australia. We camped in a tent. The sites were private and a good size. There were a lot of mosquitos though and we hadn't realised it was bear country up there.

I stayed at the Grand Beach campground while I biked north of Winnipeg to visit some beaches. The beach itself is great with soft white sand and a lot of room even on the busier days, if you don't mind walking to the far end. There are large dunes with small bushes and plants that act as privacy for those... More

The fine white sand is amazing. There are a few vendors selling clothes, jewelry, and beach toys. The beach and washrooms are clean. There are a few beach volleyball courts.

My husband grew up in Winnipeg (we now live in Calgary), and we decided to visit Grand Beach that he used to have so much fun 50 years ago. We had a high expectation based on his memory but what we saw was... a beautiful white sand beach with a very GREEN SLIMY looking lake!! I understand that it does... More

We travelled from our Winnipeg hotel for a day at the beach. $5/ per person park fee seemed very reasonable. The weather was moderately cool so the beach was fairly quiet and the big lake breeze + sunshine kept us cool and warm at the same time. On a hot day you will want to bring shade. The park is...
