This park is situated on water's edge, with a nice, open north/south drive that's close to the shoreline, with a lot of parking. It's very relaxing just to park and gaze out onto the water, read a book, etc.. Bring your Discover Pass if you...More

Beautiful state park west of I-5 about 10 miles. We visited in November 2018, it was very quiet - about 10 sites being used. Very new/clean bathroom with showers available ( three minutes for 50 cents). Recommend staying here before/after visiting Vancouver BC. Two minute...More

It's packed on summer weekends with families enjoying the beach and playground, crabbing in season, with some boiling their crabs right there on the beach. The campground is very nice, though we didn't stay in it this trip. Good restrooms and picnic areas. And of...More

I got up to the state park with some friends from Tacoma. The temperature was perfect and the sky was crystal clear blue. You could easily see Canada, Point Roberts and Vancouver Island. This day there were only a few people, but on weekends when...More

Camping spots here are mostly secluded from other campers, which is nice. Not far from beach, depending on your camp site. Beautiful camp ground.

The park has great views of the ocean and is an excellent beach walk. Very good selection of sea birds and shore birds for the bird watchers.

Well maintained camping and day use park on Birch Bay. The sites are a little close, but well groomed and the rest rooms are immaculate. Popular activities include trail biking, kayaking and shell fishing (permits required). The park is patrolled frequently and closed to transit...More

After a bad start, where the reservations staff cancelled our first night in error, the ranger on duty (James) was very helpful in sorting us out with an alternative camping spot for our three night stay. Sites are generally all good. Facilities (bathrooms and showers)...More
