Calm place with the sound of small river next to the church, surrounded by fruit trees. Of the most important fact of this place is the baptism of Lydia by Apostole Paul at the river! Still nowdays many childrens being baptizing here

Lydia is referred to in the bible as it is the place where St Paul, St Luke, Timothy and Silas baptised Lydia and her family and presumably the Roman jailer and his family. Read the appropriate passage in the book of Acts of the Apostles...More

We came here on a Biblical tour of Greece. The site is beautiful, very serene, shaded and spiritual. Lydia was the first Christian in Europe. See the church also which is nearby.

This is the site where St. Paul baptized the first Chrisitan Lydia. Very peaceful waters run through the site with foot bridges and access to the water to bless yourself. Beautiful church with amazing mosiacs religious icons throughout the church. Baptismal font inside for winter...More

This place is picturesque just beautiful as the waters flows a Biblical site not to be missed The Church is very nice without going over the top as some do Moral of Pauls journeys here too nice coffee also
