Bitter experience
Feb 2020
The temple & the Goddess are really an exhilarating experience- The Divine Amman is the cure for all ills- the depositing of salt by devotees, a way to pray for our illnesses to vanish but he surroundings & the fleecing by the touts is less said the better- Swach Bharat i don't think has even come to the doorway of samayapuram !! Garbage strewn all over, open urination - the precincts of the temple are very ill- maintained. the authorities has to start cleaning the place on a war-footing. the footfall to the temple is really huge but the place is really a pathetic sight. The touts who approach you are very forceful- the lady called us in to say that we could leave our footwear at her shop - charges us Rs. 200/- for a garland & a small packet of salt. On the whole a very bitter experience. Once again, I reiterate the darshan of the Amman was amazing.

Famous Mariamman Temple... A Must to Visit
Jul 2019
Samayapuram Mariamman Temple is one of the most famous temples in South and is very near to Trichy. The main deity is Samayapurathal or Mariamman. It is believed. that the Goddess has enormous powers over curing illnesses. This temple is always crowded with devotees that too on Saturdays and Sunday. Queue system is very good.
You can have special entry Darshan also at a cost of Rs.250/-
We had a very nice and good darshan of the Goddess.

Religious visit to Samalapuram
Mar 2019 • Family
On 03.03.2019, prayers at Samayapuram Mariamman Temple.
Being a Sunday we could see thousands of devotees. We went through the special entrance with an entry fee of RS. 250/- which took more than one hour to worship Sri Samayapuram Mariamman, otherwise it may take more than 3 hours. After recent renovation, the temple looks more spacious than before. Queue system is completely modified to accommodate thousands of devotees.

One of the very famous Mariamman temples of Tamilnadu
Jan 2019 • Family
Every time I visit here, I see that temple is getting better and better. I am native of Trichy and visited temple after long time. We went in the morning and it was not much crowded. We paid lowest darshan amount and able to see Goddess very soon. Mariamman is very big murti and we get a feeling as if we are seeing goddess in person. The Goddess is very plesantly looking and blessing devotees. Had good darshan and cirambulated the temple and the prakarams are very spacious and richly furnished.
This temple is second richest temple in Tamilnadu, after Palani Murugan temple.
