Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a great tour and wine tasting visit the Brabourne Vineyard. We were really lucky with the weather, it was warm despite being March, this made the visit even more lovely. The owner took us on the tour, she was so knowledgeable about the wine making process and shared loads of information about running a vineyard. We wandered through the vines with the chickens and duck. We then tasted some of the delicious wine in the on site historic Anderson Shelter tasting room. All in all, a lovely way to spend a spring afternoon. We were staying just down the road at the Five Bells pub which I would highly recommend, it’s a five minute walk away.

Visited with my Sister after reading all the wonderful reviews and we had such a lovely afternoon. Hester was so welcoming, knowledgeable and hospitable and we spent a lovely couple of hours looking around the beautiful vineyard and tasting the wines.

We booked the complimentary experience at the Barbourne Vineyard and we were very unsure what to expect. However, the service was outstanding! Heather’s knowledge and hospitality from both Heather & the dogs (Shadow & Daisy) was 5 stars! A great bank holiday Sunday & we took home a bottle of wine to enjoy! 100% recommend.

Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it - now go and explore all that English vineyards have to offer. We're all different - few have quite the doggy bread stick sharing we 'offer'!

My second visit and just as enjoyable as the first! New wine to try too. Hester is a fabulous host, very knowledgeable and you get a real insight into how she has planned, grown and delivered her wine.
I plan to return next year and am considering booking the holiday lodge she has onsite as I am sure my children would love the vineyard, rare breed ducks and chickens and also the lovely Daisy & Shadow.

Sorry, late as ever to respond but thank you so much for the lovely review and fingers crossed you do come and stay in Fig Cottage - then you can wander the vineyard as much as you want whilst the children run wild (hotly pursued by Daisy & Shadow!), Cheers, Hester

Lovely tour, very welcoming and knowledgeable guide! Great wine, certainly worth a visit rain or shine. We have tried lots of wine in the south east and it is one of the best.

This was a great birthday gift for my mum. We had a private tour of the vineyard with an introductory glass of the sparkling white, learning about the process of growing grapes and making the wine. We then headed indoors for more wine tasting - a really relaxing way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Our hosts were very knowledgable and welcoming, and generous with the wine! We bought two bottles of our favourite to take home. I would highly recommend this for a day out with friends and family, and a really great spot for a small event like a hen do too! There is a pub just a two minute walk away so a great spot for lunch.

Popped in on a cycle tour of Kent vineyards.
Small private vineyard at the rear of a very pretty house in a very pretty village.
Greeted by the dog, chickens, ducks and geese and the adorable Hester the owner of all of the above.
Very much enjoyed her wines and hearing her story - thank you. x

Thanks Jeff! So impressed by the efforts you'd all made to get here - may it inspire many more to visit on two wheels as it's a lovely way to see our countryside (if you can cope with the odd hill!).

Very interesting and informative visit. Our hostess was lovely and answered all of my questions. They clearly care about the wines they produce. We tasted 3, an English sparkling, a sparkling rose and a still rose. All of them were very good but our favourite was the sparkling rose. Well worth a visit would certainly recommend it.
