About
Dummer Golf Club is set in nearly 200 acres of gently undulating Hampshire Countryside. The clubhouse was opened in 1992 and provides extensive views over the golf course. The function room has a view over the lake on the 18th hole, providing a lovely backdrop for photos. Dummer Golf Club is an excellent venue for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, christenings, private parties, conferences and meetings. The club is easy to find, situated just two minutes from junction 7 of the M3, conveniently located just to the south of Basingstoke and less than a 30-minute drive from Winchester, Andover and Alton. The clubhouse offers a comfortable lounge with a large brick fireplace and cosy log fire for those winter evenings and patio area for the balmy summer evenings. In our function room, we can accommodate up to 60 for a sit-down meal and 125 for a buffet or barbecue.

Played on Sat 16th May, thoroughly enjoyed the course which was in excellent condition. Not particularly long but the greens are well guarded and fairways like carpets!!

Hired the Waterford room for a wake after my father in law passed away.

We said there would be approx 100 plus guests.( all this was before the virus quarantine).

We had ordered their afternoon tea menu which consisted of sandwiches cake, scones etc. Tea and coffee on offer and the bar was open.
The selection was beyond all that we expected
My wife and I were so impressed by the courteous excellent service provided.
Their attention to detail was noted
Very friendly and helpful . No problems.

Our thanks to the catering manager and staff

They even offered to wrap some food for us to take way. Which we and many of our guests did.
A big thank you to everyone during this sad time.

Played here recently in a Texas Scramble. The course was in good condition with good greens and fairways - not particularly wet under foot.

There were drinks at the half way house and a very good 2 course meal afterwards. Would definitely play here again.

The course is always in superb condition and it really well located off the M3. We usually play mid week morning and it is generally quiet and we very rarely get held up. Highly recommended and good value.

Played here on a twilight rate for £16 and for that price no complaints! The 1st and 3rd holes are quite narrow, but the rest is wide open! So you can get away with wayward t-shots ( I did! ). The greens were in decent shape, but the fairways are still recovering,( like most courses ).
You can shoot low, as I shot a 78 of the Yellow tees ( 10 handicap), so it's a confidence booster!
I was disappointed the bar was shut when we finished as it wasn't even 7 pm !
Also if you play Dummer at the weekends it's £36 a round! It is NOT worth that price with other options in the area! But worth the twilight rate.

We held a funeral reception at Dummer Golf Club in March 2018 and the venue, staff and food were all perfect. The admin / management staff we dealt with were really helpful and flexible, and made everything easy for us. We had about 50 - 60 people and the riverside suite was ideal, light and airy with the advantage of doors opening onto a patio near the pond for a bit of fresh air if needed. The food was excellent, including gluten-free options. It is close to Basingstoke Crematorium and the M3 so very convenient. Highly recommended.

Food very nice. Staff very nice. Pretty Christmas tree in foyer.
In dining room atmosphere very Poor.
Nothing Christmassy at all.
Lights full on no candles sparse decoration in dining room
Background music Not Christmas music---Just a blaring Din.
Table too wide---conversation across table difficult----- needed extra long arms to reach the salt etc..
Disappointing. I wouldn't go there again.

Had a lovely round late Friday afternoon with 2 buddies, bit of a miss understanding with booking online but was still allowed to play, glad the bunkers have been sorted out, earlier in the year they were rock hard but now they are how a bunker should be, and there are a lot of them, I think some of the par 4s should be par 5s especially on the front 9, the greens we're in excellent condition and ran true, we did notice someone had blatantly tried to ruin one of the greens by slamming a putter into to ground ( hole 11 )... all in all a very enjoyable afternoon, will be back soon
