Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were pointed here while staying in the area with our dog. "It's a great place to walk your dog" they said. What they didn't say was just how large an area it covers. After meeting yet another friendly couple of locals who didn't mind our dog requisitioning their dog's ball and the subsequent running about I think we broke our dog. After the climb up and down to the monument this exertion was too much and upon arrival at the Prince of Wales pub he collapsed to the floor and looked to all appearances to be a well behaved dog, barely lifting his head to acknoweldge a fellow canine. The next day he looked as good as new but sadly my legs refused to work.

Beautiful country park with many paths and hills and woods. There is a war memorial on a hill. An even higher tower to visit on St. Michael's hill and some great archaeological features. The time stones are interesting and also the standing stones. Montacute church was a beautiful, peaceful place to take a breather half way round our walk. The Prince of Wales pub provides a welcome rest for a pint and a heart meal.

I visited here to get some views of the surrounding landscapes. You can certainly see some from here. On a beautiful day, or dreary, the views are decent.
I tried to follow the trail to the monuments, but found myself a bit lost on a couple of occasions, I feel the signage needs updating (above foot-height!) and increasing. The grass couple be better maintained too.
There was a lot of dog poo in parts, so for me in my sandles, that was a draw back.

If you want to break your journey to Cornwall, Ham Hill Country Park is a great place to stop. Just 10 mins from the A303 and you can walk the dogs, have a picnic and let the kids charge around to let off steam. The views are amazing!

Visited here for a dog walk on the 21st of July in the morning. Returned to my car to find that it had been broken into by car thieves. Ham Hill is a hot spot for this type of crime. You have been warned.... Pity, because it is a pretty place with nice views, just not worth the risk of returning unfortunately.

Called in to Ham Hill to walk our dog on the way down to the West Country for as few days - and what a find it was! With stupendous views across the countryside you can see why the location was chosen as a hill fort by our ancestors. When you have had enough of the views, the wildlife, the bracing walks and the history you can refuel in the dog-friendly Prince of Wales pub. Both park and pub are well worth a visit and likely to become a regular stopping-off point when we head west.

Grass is better at sutton Bingham. Grass to sit on is very important when visiting such a place so as you can imagine I was disappointed at the quality of grass at such a visited place

A wonderful place to walk, miles and miles of footpaths and great dog friendly pub. Free parking. Great for kids to run around. Level and more hilly walks.

We used to regually visit this park with the children but have found over time the amount of litter and dogs mess is becoming a real problem. If you can't clear up after your dog don't own one, there's plenty of bins around for litter and dogs mess. It's a shame the lazy few insist on spoiling it for others
