Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It's an old, small, but nice looking castle located in the suburbs of Będzin. I went during a holiday, so I didn't have the chance to visit the museum, but there are good places to look at the castle and take pictures from the outside.

Bedzin will not knock you over and its only place worth making a stopover here is this Royal Castle, which houses a museum.

And it looked small but solid. A striking position on a hill above the city. The castle was closed for renovation, I wish I knew, I made a considerable detour to see old castles. Apparently is one of the oldest in Poland and went through between being burnt and destroyed a few times. There were no sings about this castle being closed but the workers didn't let me inside. To bad. The good things, this castle is near the Mieroszewski Palace, a small gem hidden in the woods with mint landscape, unfortunately this was also closed. Not my day, that was.

Once on the very frontier of the Polish Kingdom, the Royal Castle of Bedzin now suffers from being somewhat left behind in an unfashionable city. There are few reasons for tourists to venture out to Bedzin, a city suffering from a post-industrial malaise and if the castle had been closer to Krakow or Katowice, it may well have a greater profile.

The castle itself is nicely restored and is of significant historical importance, it looks over the city of Bedzin and the surrounding area, though it is not an espicially pretty sight. Inside, there is an impressive array of armaments from all over Europe dating from the 14th-19th centuries. There are no English descriptions but most of the staff I encountered spoke good English and were able to offer help. The price of 10zl (about 3euros) may seem expensive for what will be a maximum of 30minute walk around, but I thought it was worth it.

Nice collection of historic firearms and armors is exhibited in an interesting museum within well restored ruins of an ancient castle. Not accessible to handicaps - lots of stairs and even a steep ladder to the upper level. But absolutely worth seeing. Spectacular view over the area.

If you like just castles you can see it from outside, there is no need to get in for 3 euro. You will not find anything about the castle worth the money. If you are passionate about arms... you have to pay the entrance fee and spend there at least two hours. There is huge number of all kinds of arms from all over the world (I didn't find anything from Australia). Don't pay entrance fee for the tower, there is nothing except 91 stairs and poor view of the town.

Nice and quiet place to visit.
I had a really good time being able to walk through the hole castle without having anybody bothering me about anything.
