About
The Packhouse is a unique lifestyle store just outside of Farnham with free on-site parking. Set over multiple floors in a beautiful 400-year-old ex-hop kiln, we offer a diverse mix of vintage, antique and one-off buys from furniture and interior finishing touches to gifts and fashion accessories. We are proud to house over 60 independent traders who lovingly source eclectic pieces from around the world. We view ourselves as a real destination venue, with a cute log cabin onsite takeaway The Hive and a relaunched restaurant with an art deco inspired botanical interior, The Palm House. Our extensive grounds are home to a gorgeous pod garden, with four pods here for customers to enjoy refreshments in and try out for size. The range of beautiful pods are also available to order with free UK delivery and installation. We are open for late night shopping on Thursday and Friday evenings until 7pm. A visit to The Packhouse really is a day out!

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I absolutely love this magical place. If you like vintage style, but it doesn't necessarily have to be antique (although there are genuine antiques too ), you'll be tightly holding onto your purse when you see the huge amount of beautiful things for sale.
The building is very old and charming, over several floors with a rabbit warren of different rooms to explore. It takes a few visits to work out your preferred route and make sure you've seen every nook and cranny. There is just about everything for sale here: furniture, ceramics, decorative items, clothes, glass mirrors and chandeliers, candles, pictures, kitchen utensils, collectibles, gifts, bric-a-brac etc, 90% of it is retro or rustic and not what you would get in the High Street.
The only negative is that the only place to get a drink is in some strange, cold outdoor plastic pods. Not pleasant in the winter. There used to be a lovely cafe which made the visit really complete. I do miss that !

An absolute delight shopping here. I dont think they will let me move in, so i am slowly buying everything they have. The service is excellent - from dismantling displays to ensure i had exactly what i was after, to the very helpful, and strong, guy who carried 3 very heavy stone plinths to my car, taking great care over packing them in safely, and refused a tip at the end! Top notch place.

Visited today to elevated prices for Costco food with paper cups and plates. There is a severe lack of customer service. No courtesy, please or thank yous. Witnessed paninis that had been cooked and were left on the side whilst we were served. The gentleman had to come to retrieve his own lunch.

I wasn’t going to write this review but I feel I need to for anyone that has a sensitive tummy. Unfortunately back at the start of the year I went for dinner with a friend I questioned when I bottle of water came to the table…… it didn’t look like a sealed bottle of water…. Which I did question. Unfortunately it wasn’t after leaving a few hours my gut was horrible.
I managed to gain a water parasite and it has taken over 6 months to rectify. So please be careful to all gut sensitive people.

Coffee at the Coffee Shop. Fairly ordinary latte in a paper cup £3.95. Very overpriced! We won’t be using them again.

The lady in the Coffee Shop was delightful, friendly and helpful. We had a lovely chat :)
I found the actual Packhouse overwhelming …. packed too full, and seriously convoluted. No system! No order! It’s like a bunch of people walked in and dumped similar goods around, Willy-Nilly! Almost like a load of untidy bedrooms, all with the same type of goods. So many cushions …. Mind Boggling!! Not to mention outrageously expensive!
That said, there were a few interesting things well worth their cost. A two seater outdoor swing, a studded “man-cave” worktop and some coffee mugs with “honest & funny” slogans on them

We love this place! You see something you like, you buy it and take it home! Job done . How many places nowadays showcase their wares but you have to buy online for delivery as and when, if it’s in stock……😕 Packhouse is fab, great staff who constantly reinvent style and two great eating venues. Absolutely excellent - well done to you !

We had visited The Palm House next door for brunch and decided to take a wander around the Pack House antique shop which is next door. The building is amazing, and they do have an enormous variety of items for sale. The prices we believed are just unrealistic and did make us laugh. In fact, we started a guessing game between us on what an item would be priced at. We were not correct on any of them, and we were wildly under the prices they had on display. It's a great shame as the Pack House is off the beaten track and unless you knew it was here you would drive on by. If the prices were more realistic, I am sure they would see more people arrive through word of mouth but at the prices they are charging word of mouth will end up mute!!!
Positives, Great building, super car park and lots to look at with a brilliant eating place right next to it.

We booked a pod on Saturday afternoon, hoping to have afternoon tea. We had travelled down from Warwickshire to see family and thought that it would be a nice afternoon experience- tea in the pod, then a wander round the Antiques Centre. On arrival we were directed to a very tiny rotating pod, which with 4 adults inside, was snug to say the least! We then went into the Hide to order…… what a disappointment! There were 5 or 6 cakes on display, no sandwiches, or sign of anything savoury. So we enquired in the Palm House to see if we could get anything to eat there, as one of our party was pregnant, and needed to eat. We were informed that the kitchen was closing early due to an event taking place later that evening. A member of staff from the restaurant then came out to see us and apologised, and in fairness did offer us a place in the restaurant if we ordered immediately from a very limited choice. She then blamed the lack of food and poor choice in the Hide, on the fact that it was still recovering from the Covid Pandemic! How ridiculous! That was over a year ago!
We left, and made other arrangements. A thoroughly disappointing visit.

We visited the Pack House today and bought a lovely dining room table and had lunch in the Palm Restaurant. The staff in the shop were very helpful and friendly. The restaurant staff were lovely and the food, both mains and desserts, was exceptional. We eat out quite a lot and today's lunch was the best we have had in a long time. Thank you for a very enjoyable lunch. Looking forward to going back.
