Nice lunch of sharing plates of duck and cheese, all ingredients fresh and tasty, as part of a champagne tasting menu. Atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. The manager in the shop below was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his subject, very helpful and informative.

This was much better than tastings downtown Epernay. Being in champagne is the best way to understand the wine. But it can be difficult to know what you like. A tasting at Au 36 is recommended. Madame will guide you through the different grapes. When you are a temporary visitor you need fast and deep guidance. Thank you very much!

Julie Valade and her brother runs a top notch wine and champagne shop in the beautiful village of Hautvillers. It is located just 1 minute from the central square. Here you will find a wide selection and knowledgable staff.

Very friendly staff, unassuming, delightful. The two of us tried 6 different champagnes, all labelled with engravings on the glasses and with an explanation from the waitress. All served with an lovely selection of canapés.

Very good for what it is - a lovely little champagne bar in the beautiful village of Hautvillers. You are able to taste a range of champagnes made with single grape varietals, in addition to a vintage and assemblage champagne, all by the glass. A few local tasting plates are also available. Weather permitting, this is a lovely way to... More

We stopped at this posh restaurant with winery or winery with restaurant for lunch on a busy Thursday and we had some refreshing champagne and good food served on big plates to share. Service not particularly friendly, but efficient.

We were recommended by TA to this little gem - we were heading for Dom Perignon's grave in the local church in the village and this was a perfect spot for a light lunch. We had a tasting plate to share and a glass of excellent Champagne - quite the best we had all over France. 18 euros for the... More

This was just lovely. The restaurant has an outdoor patio as well as upstairs tasting. You receive a menu with various ways of tasting, the 100% champagnes of Chardonnay, Pinot,... Or the blends. Then a choice of small plates, regional tastes or cheese plates.... And then nice brief explanations of what you are tasting, after you have the opportunity to... More

We expected a tasting WITH some explanations about grapes, wine makers and regions. We tried six champagnes and were left to explore on our own. On the glasses were marked the type of champagne. We asked about wine makers, regions and price and were told we could get that information downstairs after the tasting. We might as well have bought... More
