- Northwaleslarkrise19 contributionsDisappointingDisappointing. The village advertises a fun fare every weekend but fails to inform when this is closed. The craft cabin smells, not sure why. The restaurant crockery was tainted by a smell similar to that of an overloaded or unwashed dish washer filter. However the staff are kind, friendly and eager to please. Overall Blakemere looks tired which is such a shame as it could really be a great place for families to enjoy.Visited January 2023Travelled with familyWritten 14 January 2023
- Go060029663832 contributionsThe price was not justified!!I've NEVER paid £5.25p for a scone !!little portion of cream and jam.!!! Beware !!! 2 teas and 1 scone was £11.40 thats dreadful!! I wonder how much profit there was on that! wont be back!!Sorry to hear you were unhappy with the cost of food and drinks at one of the boutique stores. The units are owned individually and are allowed to price items as they wish. There are other eateries you may have found better suited and I can only apologise for this.Written 6 September 2023This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited September 2023Travelled with familyWritten 5 September 2023
- a61Belfast, United Kingdom12 contributionsNever, ever again! This site should be great but isn’t. It relies heavily on attracting customers by promoting the village area of the complex. By far this is the muckiest, dustiest site we have ever been to (and this was the most expensive of our holiday!). We were there in lovely weather - I dread to think what this site is like when wet! The “pitches” have no gravel, just muck with very few stones on top. The roads are the same, dusty potholed dirt tracks. Everything gets filthy and forget taking a dog! - ours need a tummy, leg and paw bath after EVERY walk otherwise we couldn’t have let him back into the campervan! The outside washing up area was unhygienic - permanently covered in a layer of dust from the roads. Almost half of the ladies toilets were permanently locked and on one morning the others were so disgusting that they were unusable. I’ve since read several other reviews where customers have also complained about the state of the pitches/roads and the response is always that it’s on the list to be done! At least two years later they’re no better so, Blakemere should either bring the site up to standard or stop charging top site prices and be truthful about what customers can expect! Awful site.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 7 September 2023

Lovely couple of hrs painting pottery nice meal in the restaurant, then go for a look around shops, went to sweet shop found floral gums and cherry lips I’ve not had in years, explained to owner of my food allergy and asked could I possibly have sweets out of fresh jar due to scoops being used in other jars containing ingredients I can not have to be told sorry can’t help you, when I went few years ago previous shop owner couldn’t have been any more helpful, current owner not helpful at all left feeling deflated and definitely will not return to shop or recommend x

Good selection of shops although the variety is a little thin on the ground these days. Great touring park with super facilities and a wonderful little pub 'The Wee Howff', however the food delivery days from the Village Social can't be trusted. Advertised that food can be ordered and delivered on a Thursday but it was all closed down when we checked.
Don't promise something you can't deliver.

Thank you for your review, sorry there seemed to be some mis information regarding food availability times. We will speak with the village social to rectify this in the future, so thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are glad you enjoyed our touring park and the Wee Howff.....

Very enjoyable, will visit again, bought a few bits and bobs from the Antiques Emporium, very knowledgable dealer on duty which helps.
Then we decided to eat and again we’re very satisfied.

Our first visit to Blakemere:
We had pizzas and cocktails tonight in the Tipi -Grace our server was so friendly! The cocktails were 10/10. We felt really welcome and comfortable -thank you!
We also visited the play barn today which our toddlers enjoyed.
We have popped into the micro brewery too as a family and felt very welcome!

I’m guessing the kids chill out zone/ film nights are cancelled?
BlakemereVillage

Unfortunately, due to the current restriction The Den is closed and we are not able to run our film nights. As soon as it is safe to do so we will resume our events and reopen The Den, but for now the safety of our customers and staff is the most important factor. We hope to see you on the park soon.

Re: Car boot sales - can anyone tell me whereabouts on the site the sales are held and from what I can gather the start time is 7am - I'm looking to sell - is it 7am for sellers as well as buyers or are sellers allowed in before 7 to set up ? Thanks :)

Can anyone who has stayed in a tent tat this site advise which field is best to be in if you have children. Which is closest to the play area?

There are a couple of grass pitches just behind the children’s play area, next to the toilets which are perfect if you have toddlers. I’m not sure of the numbers but if you call, the owners are lovely and will oblige if possible. We stayed in the field (not the rally one) as our children are older and we prefer things quieter. The pitches there are huge with so much space to run around. Ask for pitches 54 or 60 (the corners) in this area. It’s about a 2/3 min walk to the toilets and play area.
