What a great time we had at the Play Barn! Our 16 month old loved it and all for £2 😊 Jo Jingles was brilliant. Cheryl so pleasant and full of fun with dancing, singing and music 🤩

Very clean with nice little cafe for snacks will definitely be returning and highly recommended in comparison to other play centres and great value for money.

Sad let down
I love this place, always my go to place for my family and special visits. What a let down for the jubilee. I thought of all places, these would make an effort. Same basic, expensive fair. No special events apart from circus lessons, which incidentally was the only lovely thing. The sweet shop is the most depressing spectacle I’ve ever experienced. Craft shop is way too expensive for any normal person to enjoy and the playbarn was so miserable. I actually felt depressed when we left. I think my visits to this place have come to an end. FYI if you want a wedding here, it looks like that is where all their effort is so you’re good to go for your special day. Sorry blakemere but it wasn’t good.

We are sorry that you didn’t enjoy your recent visit to Blakemere Village, which is a real shame as we had quite a lot on offer over the bank holiday Jubilee weekend including: - Thursday – Live streaming in the Tipi of the Trouping of the Colour and the Fly Past (free), Face Painting, Crown Making in Crafts in the Corner, themed pottery painting in Cheshire Craft Workshop and a live singer in the Tipi from 4.30pm (free entry), Fair Rides for small children Friday – Free Circus Workshop in the Courtyard, , Crown Making in Crafts in the Corner, themed pottery painting in Cheshire Craft Workshop and Fair Rides for small children Saturday – Small Street Market (free entry), Face Painting, Crown Making in Crafts in the Corner, themed pottery painting in Cheshire Craft Workshop, Fair Rides for small children and miniature railway rides Sunday - Crown Making in Crafts in the Corner, themed pottery painting in Cheshire Craft Workshop, Fair Rides for small children and miniature railway rides Plus all of our 20+ independent small retail shops, indoor play barn, bird of prey aviaries and free outdoor play area were open. We don’t charge any entry fee to Blakemere Village or a parking charge but the individual businesses operating from here obviously charge for their products and services, in order to make a living. We decorated the village with lots of patriotic bunting and flags and many of our shops participated in our Jubilee Window Display Competition and did a wonderful job of making the site look Platinum Jubilee ready. We are sorry you didn’t enjoy your visit with us over the weekend.

Lovely little area, very interesting for young ones. We did the crazy golf which had been recently renovated and was great fun and good value. There’s also a steam train running at weekends and near to some nice walks in a wooded area. The only thing that was disappointing was that the restaurants shut at 5 pm on Sunday which I thought was a bit strange, we were staying at the touring park and would have had a meal but had to make do with a pot noodle instead! Would definitely return though, there’s plenty to do here.

Thank you for your lovely review. As Blakemere Village is a boutique village, all shops are open between 10am and 5pm each day. Most eateries do close at 5pm during the week. The Blakemere Village Social Tepee, which has entertainment on Fridays/Saturdays is open until 10/10.30pm and their outdoor food court is open Thursdays/Fridays and Saturdays until 9pm :) There are 2 pubs within walking distance from the site and one offers those staying on the Touring Park discount. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you again soon

Went today for a nice carvery was ok had a lovely look around with my husband our first visit, then all of a sudden we heard a lot of howling dogs in the close approximity, & blowing of horn so that tells us that there was a hunt on in the vicinity, We were both distressed & upset by all the noise,! So we came home & this is not what we want to hear on a casual visit on a Sunday afternoon. I’m so glad didn’t have our grandchildren with us as they would have wanted to know what was happening. 😡😡😡😡

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately, we are not informed when the Cheshire Hunt is on and they do go onto different routes around the surrounding area. We hope to see you again at Blakemere Village as when the hunt is on is out of our control :(

Lovely place to drop in and have a browse. We always stay on the touring park for a couple of nights then have a walk around the shops or take the dogs for a walk around the Woodland Walk. This time we popped into the Tepee for a few drinks to celebrate my sister's 60th birthday. Debra Gerard organised a table for the 8 of us, ordered my sister a celebratory Blakemere cocktail, an absolute brilliant afternoon which we all enjoyed. Staff so accommodating, very pleasant and obliging especially Grace P and Toby and all the other guys I have missed serving behind the bar - Thank You. We will be back soon.

The Fairy Dust Cake Shop is a must visit. The sponge in the cupcakes is so moist and the brownies are amazing. Great selection of flavours and you can even build your own cupcakes. The carrot cake was sold out on my visit so I shall definitely be calling again

Called in here as we were staying at Nunsmere Hall. Not fully open but would be great for kids whilst parents shop. Reclamation shop with outdoor items was good but not all shops open so can't comment. Plenty free parking and caravan/touring park adjoining. Worth a visit.

Excellent touring site and facilities. The only thing that was appalling was the stormy weather. Great shops and a lovely little micro brewery. We will definitely be returning when the weather changes.

GREG NICHOLSON GOLF SHOP
Do not do business with this company. Their customer service is appalling. Despite being promised that it would be ok to return items when purchased, after directly asking them the question, they refuse to honour their word. This is also despite their websites terms and conditions offering a full refund. Dishonest and untrustworthy. Very unsatisfied. DO NOT TOUCH THEM WITH A BARGE POLE!

Hi there, We are really sorry that you were not satisfied with the service you received from Greg Nicholson Golf, located on our site. As landlords we have no control over how individual businesses operate, unless it is unlawful of course, but we can assure you that we will bring this to their attention and investigate your complaint as soon as possible. We sincerely hope that this does not deter you from supporting the many other independent businesses based on Blakemere Village and we hope to welcome you back soon.
