BOOKING ESSENTIAL Want to take some alpacas out for a walk? Of course you do... and now you can! Alpacaly Ever After are thrilled to offer alpaca walks around the stunning grounds of The Lingholm Estate or alpaca walks at Whinlatter Forest, Meet and Greets at The Lakes Distillery or Lingholm and if you fancy climbing a local mountain, we have Llama Treks that take you there as well. All our activities take place outside in the fresh air, and as an outdoor activity provider we are fully versed in risk assessment and safe operating procedures. We would like to reassure our visitors and those looking to book that we are doing our utmost to protect both our visitors and guides, and are confident in providing a safe and hugely enjoyable experience that will be beneficial to physical and mental wellbeing. Received this Alpaca walking experience as a gift from our son and when we found out what he had bought us we were like “huh??”
We decided to visit yesterday and have a day out in Keswick as well as we traveled from Newcastle
What a wonderful day! It was so much more than we expected and in gorgeous surroundings, we had a private walk so just the three of us
The actual walking experience was so relaxing and fun, it was very interesting and informative and we enjoyed it so much we are making plans to go back again!
A special mention must be made for Lily our guide, she was fantastic, very knowledgeable and her passion for her work and especially the Alpacas really was evident
Thank you lily for giving us an experience we will always remember

What a truly brilliant experience having Nicole introduce us to Mikey and Little red, Nicole was an absolute fountain of knowledge all the way around our walk, what a setting on the edge of Derwent water and we really did score for beautiful weather , a must do experience if yr in the area and I’ve no doubt our daughter will be dragging us back over from Newcastle when she sees our pictures that Nicole took (no charge) , thanks for a great experience Nicole

We just loved walking the alpacas. Our daughter is 18 and had a fab time. This was a surprise for my husband’s birthday, he would recommend this for anyone’s birthday treat. Lily our guide was really knowledgable, friendly and showed a lot of passion for her job. Also this time of year the walk was full of beautiful autumn colours.
We will definitely be returning, our daughter is already planning to come again for her birthday.

Despite the soggy weather today 🌧️ We had a brilliant visit to Alpacaly Ever After at the Lingholm estate for my daughters 7th birthday. We enjoyed our walk with Howard and Ralph, and our guide Lin was lovely and full of interesting information about the alpacas. She made my daughter feel extra special for her birthday too. We will definitely return. Thank you.

A lovely walk with these beautiful creatures. This was our second walk and both were equally delightful. Our guide on this occasion was Lily. She was very knowledgeable about the alpacas and was a joy to meet. Thanks Lily we all enjoyed both your company and, of course, Ziggy, Theo and Jarrah. Thoroughly recommend these walks.

Outstanding experience in the highly knowledgeable and pleasant company of Nicole, our guide. I hadn’t appreciated this was a charitable venture which made it all the more worthwhile. The alpacas were just fantastic, each with their own character but all mesmerisingly pleasant to walk with at a very gentle pace while communing with nature. Highly recommended.

Do you still do the meet and greet in the rain? Wanting to book but we live so far away we may not be revisiting and a voucher wouldn't be great if it were cancelled due to rain

Please note, the weather around our sites can be very unpredictable and changes day to day often contrary to weather forecasts, although we always do our best to get you off on your adventures, looking after our animals and yourselves is our first priority. We can’t control the weather and we understand it can be disappointing, but cancellations due to bad weather are at our discretion and they’re to make sure that everyone is safe and happy. If we need to cancel we will either offer to re-arrange you to a different day within the next 12 months or provide a gift voucher.

Bring appropriate footwear for the weather. We had a sunny day and were in walking shoes. When you go down to the lake, the alpacas might have a little dip, but we just stayed on the rocks, you don’t have to go into the water if you don’t wish to
Hi, I do not drive and would have to take the public transportation. May I know what is the best way to make my way to Alpacaly Ever After? The Lingholm jetty by the Keswick Launch is closed for repairs.

We drove too so not much help to you I'm afraid. I think Keswick is closest town so maybe see connections to there. Well worth the visit however - great day.

I am planning to have a walk with your alpacas, this coming early december.
1) I want to know, the best (also cheap) route for me if i come from Oxford.
2) And if i need to stay one night before the tour, where is the best area (nearest) to the farm.

The cheapest way to travel to the alpacas is to drive takes 4 and half hours from oxford , fuel cost £40 - 60.00 .. there is hotels in the area ... also yo can see the baby alpacas in the gin distillary just down the road 20 minute drive .

I use crutches, would this be suitable? also If I am tired I may need to use a wheelchair, would this be suitable for a wheelchair user?

Yes! I walk with a cane and it wasn’t a problem at all! They also do walks adapted to wheelchair users! You just have to tell them beforehand so they know.
