I´ts a beautiful place, you can admire nature's best. There are a lot of places around for you to visit, not expensive, a nice walk, just wear comfortable shoes.

It’s a great place if you’ve never been there. Go and enjoy one of the most beautiful waterfalls and stone structures done by nature. For a local person it’s a bot on the pricy side since the entrance cost 100 pesos plus whatever you consume...More

The Prismas Basálticos are a good example of nature: the waterfall is nice but not incredible and the bottom lookout delights human eye. Despite this, I don’t like that much the place, because is more a touristic place where the lookout is filled of persons...More

A huge number of hexagonal basalt columns with waterfalls running over them, set in scenic surroundings. Similar to the Giant Causeway in Northern Ireland but not on the coast!

The "prismas" can be seen either from above or at ground level. I definitely recommend to explore the magnificent Santa María Regla Hacienda, which has a secret passage to the waterfall with the prismas at ground level. This experience is much more private and peaceful.

This is actually a huge complex, privately run I think, that caters to families. It has many activities, including a large pool and play area. There are many small restaurants and shops. I found it was expensive (100 pesos per person, including parking). The falls...More

The views from different vantage points of Las Prismas and the surrounding valley and mountainside are stunning. The views of the rock formations and water falls were amazing. The North side of the walkway allows different angles of the formations in conjunction with views of...More

It was so beautiful and mesmerizing. Highly recommend it! Just be careful when you reach the bottom and pay attention to where you step. I witnessed someone falling down.. ouch!

Beautiful basalt columns of 5 or 6 faces, formed 2.5 million years ago, some in vertical position and others, horizontal. These basalt columns decorate the walls of the Alcholoya ravine, through which four cascades of water fall from the dam of San Antonio Regla. If...More
