A great tip from a national trust car park attendant at bottalack. We mentioned that we were poldark fans and he sent us along here. Really quiet, hard to park but luckily very few people seem to know it’s here! Lovely to see the crossing...More

Visiting this little cove is like stepping back in time. As not so well known as the other local coves, it is untouched by the present day. Extremely quaint fishermen's cottages dot the path down to the waters edge. Quiet and uncommercialised. Clear water excellent...More

Visited with my Canadian cousin last month. We’re both huge Poldark fans and it’s used in series 2 and 3 quite a lot. Really pretty place, stepping stones over the creek and access to cliff path. Limited parking though - max 6 or 7 cars

We started our walk in Penberth Cove and followed the coastal path to Porthcurno! The views and the walk were stunning looking over the sea and the cliffs. Some parts needed to some more careful navigation as the steps were steep and wide apart at...More

We parked on the road a short easy stroll to the cove. The walk it self was great with some lovely gardens along the way. These paled in to comparison to the cove which was a delight to come upon. A small wild and rugged...More

We walked to Penberth from Treen on local footpaths, down the valley and into the Cove. It's an old fishing Cove with a marvellous granite set slipway to the water, an old capstan to haul boats up the slope and a few fishermens cottages. Small...More
