Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Alpine is one of my favourite golf courses in Bangkok. Very well maintaned, challenging and varied holes, nice club house plus friendly and competent staff/caddies makes playing here a very enjoyable experience. If in Bangkok you must try out Alpine.

A well matured and well maintained course. Enjoyed playing there. Club facilities are great.

On the day we played on 22 August 2014 it started raining in mid afternoon. There were instances of thunder and flash of lightning in a distance, though none really came close. Siren was sounded. Now the surprising thing despite the siren to stop play it was never enforced. We decided to stop while waiting the siren to resume play. We were told by the caddies that we would have to forgo the first nine and let the other flights to play through. We stood our ground and let others play through but would not forgo our round though we skip a couple of holes. I think there is a safety issue here which should be looked into.

That aside I would still go back to play the course when the weather is fine.

Amazing golf course with true fast greens. Well thought out course and good caddies. Highly recommend! Worth the 90min journey from Bangkok

Played here with two friends and to say we were exited and expectant would be an understatement. We had read a lot online about the Alpine being the number one course in Bangkok. On arrival the clubhouse and facilities were in keeping with a top golf course however the main disappointment was to come. We teed off on the 10th due to traffic on the 1st, tee boxes were totally over used with many unprepared divots. However the biggest disappointment was the greens...bare, patchy and covered with sand. Almost impossible to get a true roll of the ball. I must say that over the round some of the greens did improve but this was really not the standard we were expecting. The course has the potential to be great but as of now it looks tired and overplayed.

Sept 2021
I'm posting this review because I am planning another trip. I have played here twice before, albeit before September 2021 (I had to select this date in the review box).

I've been playing golf in Thailand for 15 years and this is my favourite course; every hole is stunning. On every single hole you need to look back where you came from as much as where you are going - take time to take in the sights and smell the flowers.

The course (I guess you would call it a mature parklands course) has stunning design features such as water from the lake overlapping onto the fairway or into bunkers and it is simply immaculate as if the groundstaff have used nail scissors to painstakingly trim the edges. The clubhouse is fantastic and the food, even the snack menu, is excellent, at the usual thai golf course reasonable prices.

The clubhouse manager on the day was very friendly and allowed us to sit on the directors balcony to smoke a cigar and review the course from up high. The icing on a very beautiful cake!

So it's a great facility and probably THE most beautiful golf course I have ever played and it's user-friendly for handicap golfers too (not too long, walkable). If you get the chance to play Alpine, DO IT - and don't rush it, change and eat there - it will last long in your memory!

This is a fantastic course and very well taken care of. Plenty of gorgeous golf shots throughout the day and we found every hole to be challenging. The caddies were outstanding the facilities are excellent. Would highly recommend and will definitely be playing this course again.

This is an outstanding facility. The club house is spectacular when compared to North American facilities available to the public. The restaurant food is of good standard, the operating staff are highly organized and the course itself is difficult without being obnoxiously challenging. The course requires you stay on the fairways for the shots into the greens. Off the fairway are uneven lies and low spin shots from bermuda grass into sloping greens. In summary, a really good golf course, efficient operations, good food and high quality clubhouse facility.

This is a fantastic golf course, no doubt, easily top 5 in Thailand.....However. It is supposed to be a members club. My friend is a member and each time I have the privilege of playing here as a paying guest...it takes over 5 hours for a round of golf due to the tour groups of utterly useless and discourteous golfers from the far east. Subsequently he is selling his membership now and I think that 6,000 thb is too high to pay this course. As everything eventually boils down too in Thailand ....its greed. Alpine will soon become a faceless tourist spot. Shame

This is the second time I've played here and it has earned a place in my top 5 courses list. We also played Siam Plantation, Sima Waterside and Liam Chebang. Alpine is a jewel of a course. It's not a links but some of the sand traps are like beaches with the water overlapping the bunkers. Same for some of the fairways - no walls separating the fairway from the water; the fairways just become water at a certain point. Strange but very beautiful. Greens were fine (not the fastest) and fairways were lush. A beautiful landscape of water, sand, trees, shrubs and well-manicured fairways surrounds you on every hole and it's just as important to look backwards as forwards as several views are simply stunningly beautiful. Walk as much as you can and get the most out of your day. Caddies were okay and spoke a little English between them - just enough for us to get by and have a little fun. The snack food in the clubhouse was excellent (by far the best we'd experienced - I bet you have never had spring rolls like these) and the main courses were very good with a decent selection of inexpensive wines and they even let us eat on the director's private balcony as one of wanted to smoke. I can't recommend this place highly enough and, comments from others about
