Driving from Fort Frances to Thunder Bay, this was a great place to stop and stretch our legs, before we got to Thunder Bay. Walking trails and viewing platforms give a good look at the falls from all sides.

Kakabeka Falls is only about 20 minutes outside of Thunder Bay. It's a nice place to stop and spend a few minutes looking at the falls. On a nice summer day, it would be a good picnic spot. If you're brave enough to go to...More

It was pretty but personally I like clear waterfalls. It didnt cost much to park and walk down the stairs to the falls. If you have knee or hip problems the stairs maybe hard on you. There is a platform to take pictures of the...More

Definitely worth a visit. You'll need no more than two hours, because there's minimal walking involved. The site appears to be wheelchair-friendly. There are grassy areas to sit and relax beside the falls. The small visitor centre has some interesting exhibits about the geology of...More

Bucket List: Visit every Provincial Park in Ontario. We visited briefly as I have been here a few times before. My travel companions went back the next day and spent more time exploring. This is a beautiful park with trails right up to the falls.

We loved this Provincial Park, it was the highlight of our trip around the Canadian side of Lake Superior. The Falls are fantastic and the campground sites are large and very private. The only downside if you are in an RV is you need at...More

Nearly missed this gem When we were driving towards Thunder Bay, which would have been a great shame. Really pleased to have found it.

This was one of our favorite waterfalls on our Lake Superior Circle Tour vacation. It was loud and raging. So powerful. We did the Boardwalk Walking Trail and viewed both sides of the falls. This was very easy and only had a few stairs. We...More

There are some stairs, but also areas that are wheelchair accessible. $3 for parking for one hour.
