About
COVID Update: We have implemented strict hygiene and social distance measures in order to ensure the health and safety of our staff and visitors. Please contact us for more details. Chene Bleu's couture wines have been referred to in the press as the world's first "Super Rhônes". Award-winning and critically-acclaimed, the Rolet family produce their wines, made to the highest organic and biodynamic principles, at their boutique wine estate, La Verrière, tucked away up in the stunning Dentelles de Montmirail hills, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in the heart of Provence. The tasting room is open year-round for cellar tours and wine tastings. To complement a visit, Chene Bleu offers gastronomic lunch options: "Farm to Fork" and "ChenoBox" or the option to enjoy a Provencale picnic basket among the vines, all expertly paired with their wines, using organic fruits and vegetables, honey and olive oil grown or produced on the estate.

Can not wait to go back!
The view from every window is amazing. The staff is kind and helpful. My room was comfortable, clean, and beautifully decorated. The whole property, everywhere you look and everywhere you walk is rich with history and impeccably maintained.

    Gem of a vineyard
Chêne Bleu is a wonderful visit, well worth the extra drive – you really feel like you’re in a little oasis. The wines are all excellent and handcrafted, which you can tell, and the tasting room has been beautifully designed with plenty of informative details like samples of the soil types on the property. Staff were very enthusiastic and generous with their time and knowledge. This gem is tucked out of the way but absolutely worth discovering!

    Chene Bleu visit
Chene Bleu is a special place. Nestled in a hilltop area of the Southern Rhone. This perfectly restored historic landmark has so much to offer, incredible wines, beautiful nature, a Villa with accommodations that is perfect for an escape to recharge. For a day visit the tasting room offers a unique blending experience and original gifts from the property. This place was memorable and worth a detour if you find your self in Avignon.

An extraordinary property in an under-the-radar area of Provence--The Ventoux.
You will be treated royally; the grounds are spectacular, the wines and food are beautifully presented, and the rooms at La Verrière are like staying at a close friend's gorgeous villa in the countryside.

The primary motivation for the trip was to taste the wine and it did not disappoint. All of them are excellent: I love the controlled Southern Rhône muscularity combined with the incredible freshness added by the unique location and meticulous methodology.

The quality of the accommodation and food were both unexpected and spectacular bonuses. The staff were all excellent and very friendly and welcoming too.

We had a wonderful and educational blending class for our group, followed by a lunch in a beautiful outdoor dining area with overhead trellis and plants. The food was excellent with paired wines.

Chene Bleu is a VRBO and winery in The Vacluse region of France. We biked up to the winery from Vaison la Romaine on Ebikes and we were welcomed with English-speaking folks who are very inviting with big smiles and we felt totally at home right from the get-go. I met the owner Nichole and had a nice conversation about how we had found the place through the Wine Traveler blogger and she told me a little bit about the wine. One thing to know is that their 19’ rosé was given the top rosé score ever by Jansis Robinson, which is very high praise. We had reserved picnics baskets for six people so we took them down by the garden and had a wonderful meal. The picnic basket contained fresh baguette, cheese, pate, tapenade, fresh vegetables and fruits and cookies. Super fun. Afterwards we tasted through their wines before we biked away. The wines are fantastic. The two older reds were my favorite of all Provence.
