Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Punta Secca is a lovely little village made famous by the TV series. However, despite that it is still very much a "locals" village. The beach is small but really pleasant and not very touristy. The village and the lighthouse are lovely to walk around. The village holds lots of little quirky oddities such as the phone box or the blue door.

This is the little village of Punta Secca, in the Ragusa area, you could appreciate the Montalbano's house, the famous inspector, main character of the writer Andrea Camilleri.

What a delightful place to spend a while! Glorious clean beaches, crystal clear water, fabulous food, and a bit of ancient and more recent intrigue to investigate.
The only downside? People so rude as to climb the balustrades of the BnB used in the tv series Montalbano, and peer in peoples’ hotel rooms! Have they no shame? Certainly no manners.

The aim was to stay at Montalbano's house for a week. The trip did not disappoint. The apartment did not disappoint. Montalbano's was a great place to stay. The views and beach with restaurants close by. Recommend.

What Montabalno did not tell you is that there are little fish eating your feet if you just keep standing there. Some like it, I don't.

Great place for a swim in the sea and eating well. We can recommend the restaurant in the photo.
Further up on the beach towards the right, the sea is great to swim in. There is a cafe selling food, drink and sun lounge and umbrella €5 a piece. Good value for money.
Towards the right is moltabano's house.

Went here because the last time we were in Sicily we missed this corner. Loved all the Montalbano references. Sent pictures of all the tourist tat to friends who love Montalbano. Bought a fridge magnet and a mug. Did not buy the t shirt. There are limits!

Used the cafe in the Faro. And had the right to use the loo in consequence. Recommend it all.

My friends are all green with envy. We LOVE Montalbano! I’m sure they will all come too now we know how to get here!

Had to come here after watching Montalbano series. Wasn’t disappointed, saw the house and beach area but that’s about all that’s interesting here.

On a perfect mid October day La casa di Montalbano and the beach leapt straight out from the TV screen. In this case there was no trick of the camera just three children playing on the sand and a few visitors(see photo).
The sea is perhaps not as deep as implied by the detective series but great for a swim.
We were able to park just 10 metres from the house. Ah the joys of off season travel!
