Unusual drive for a few kilometers where, at some points, you have water a few meters on both sides of you. It's not going to be a life changing experience but it certainly is interesting.

We thought this was really pretty, there was one point where there was another narrow strip of land about 150m across the water an it was absolutely covered with cormorants, pelicans and other water birds - an amazing mass gathering of sea birds. Google maps...More

We were driving through Gippsland and saw the turn off to Paynesville with this sign attached. After a little searching we found them at eagle point. Great drive along the jetties with stunning views and scenery!

Great place to visit on the long weekend,you must go there and drive to the end. Stayed at a RV park.

Great place for fishing. So many good fishing spots along the river, and ideal for a small tinny. Very sheltered most of the time from the weather.
