Surprise chance to spend a sunny day in Oct at the beach. Great unintended sunset.
Lovely place to spend a day, nice clean and safe beach, with some rock areas for children to adventure in, Clean toilets. Only complaint that service in the Cafe is very slow, but I think they have lost their students to University by now. As to Mr Angry, he went back down at 7pm to find my daughters bag, while we drove back. The staff are very friendly.

    Stunning beach… whatever the weather!!
My kids favourite beach!!! It has something for everyone including rocks, rock pools, great sand, surf and the right hand side of the beach is Doggy friendly!! Parking is organised and plentiful (accepts card) but ensure you drive slow & safe on the narrow roads leading in.

    Wow
Wow what a coastline. It was a fresh beautiful sunny day. The beach was clean with 2 miles of sand which my dog really enjoyed as did I!! Car park was a bit pricey at £8 for the day but worth it if you are a family and are staying all day. Beach cafe serving the normal, surf shop for hiring equipment and toilets. I recommend.

    Our first SUP lesson
My husband and I booked a SUP lesson as there was no surf the week we were in Croyde. We arrived at the car park an explained we only needed an hour’s parking - no can do and had to pay £7 shocking However we were blessed with gorgeous weather and enjoyed our lesson. There are changing rooms but no showers

Great views, top quality loos but nothing more...
The moment we arrived we realise that being in a campervan rather than a caravan was a disadvantage. we were second-class! Caravans were allowed in a beautiful grass cliff top position, but Campervan were relegated to a slightly sloppy car park with only award-winning loos and an elsan disposal area. The award-winning toilet lights were left on all night so we could appreciate their beauty 24/7 but ruined the stargazing potential! The view was lovely but £55 a night felt very expensive for a spot without showers. Basically it's a carpark with a lovely view and top quality loos.

    The quieter side
Putsborough is the quieter side of the stretch which begins at Woolacombe. Personally I prefer it. One car park up the top (accessed through a tiny road). Parking is £15 for the day, which is actually more than Woolacombe's car parks. Motorhomes can also park there overnight for £60 (not including the cost of parking there the following day). There is a toilet block one side of the car park, a changing room block the other side, and a small café/shop below it, but nothing else. (I.e. you don't get Woolacombe's arcades, chip shops, etc - bear in mind if you have small kids who can't stick at one thing for more than 5 minutes). Definitely one of Britain's better beaches. If you have time walk the length between here and Woolacombe. It took us around 90 minutes each way at a leisurely pace.
Hello and Good afternoon. Thank you for your kind words..........we do try our best to look after Putsborough. Just in the interest of accuracy, however, the car park charge during half term week was £12; today (early June) it is £9 / £10 and the peak price this year during the school holidays will be £13.50. per day. Thankyou.

    Ok
We were in the area and decided to visit here, it was later in the evening so there was hardly anyone here. We managed to find some parking and walk down, there is a car park but didn't notice any sign showing the price. The beach was nice and goes to Woolacombe. It seemed relatively clean and the tide was out when we visited

Lovely beach, worth the tricky roads to get there!
This is a wonderful beach at the far end of Woolacombe. It is reached by quite narrow lanes however it is well worth it! It is pretty and not crowded even in August. Our family of 8 loved it. Lots of rock pools , very clean sea water and space . The nearby shop and cafe are excellent too and the toilets are exceptionally clean. It is expensive to park there - £13.50 for the day but for us it was well worth it. It can be accessed by steps but there is also quite a steep slope that is useful if you have a beach trolley full of beach goods !

This beach is lovely and sandy with a few rocks towards the back to base yourself around. It was extremely busy but managed to get in main car park but by around 10 they were parking up in the overflow ( quite a walk with all the beach gear) Parking is £9 for the day.
The lanes are typical of Devon and very narrow so gets quite congested at times but we managed it fine.
There is a cafe ( really, really busy on our first day and took over an hour to get a few pasty’s - we took a picnic after that!) The toilets are very clean ( but again quite a walk from beach) and there’s somewhere to hire wetsuits, boards and body boards.

We’ve been coming here annually for over 30 years. It’s a family run business with a strong family ethos.
Having seen the cafe expand from a little “shack”in the cliff, serving basic drinks, ice creams, pasties, and fruit cake (baked on the premises back then) into a very comprehensive cafe selling everything from speciality hot drinks, nachos, burgers, salads, chips, steak sandwiches, cakes etc and “specials” of the day I can only say it just gets better and better in the effort to keep its customers happy.
A weeks parking is £48 - which in my opinion is great value. On this occasion we paid the fee only to discover later that day that our holiday accommodation provided a complimentary parking permit. When I explained this to the staff on the parking entrance the next day I was pleased to be fully refunded, not only only promptly but with a smile,
The toilet block is modern and immaculately clean. Recycling and general rubbish bins are provided and emptied regularly. The large clean sandy beach itself is wonderful with rock pools along the end - perfect for families - whilst there is a grassy outcrop overlooking the beach, with several benches, for those who prefer to stay sand free! Access to the beach is either by steep flight of steps or by concrete slopes more suitable for pushchairs.

I love this beach. The parking is expensive but worth it for the facilities. It’s a safe car park overlooking the sea and close to carry all your belongings however it is a steep walk down steps or a ramp so be prepared to climb up once you have gone down.
The toilet facilities are kept clean and updated and it’s a lovely family atmosphere on the car park and beach where people have bbq’s and lunch outside their vans and cars.
The neighbouring beach if Woolacombe is £10 a day parking which is more and the facilities are not as good and more crowded

Lovely beach, we went 2 separate days from Woolacombe. I was put off by reviews re parking but glad we ignored them, if you’re there all day then parking is no more expensive than anywhere else and more convenient than other beaches, plus you can get a pass for the week if you’re there everyday.

Car park is right over beach with just a short walk down. Cafe is easily accessible, it was busy due to the social distancing queue but I’d rather have that than not.

Toilets immaculate and they’ve clearly reinvested parking monies into the site. Small campsite for motor homes looked good.

A two mile stretch of glorious clean sand from Putsborough to Wollacombe. Never over crowded however more crowded at the Wollacombe end due to lifeguards and RNLI trucks. Putsborough Sands does not have lifeguards.

This beach is perfect for walkers and dog walkers. Tide is high in the morning and suitable for body boarding, surfing and swimming. Tide is low and seas calm in the afternoons and perfect for paddle boarding and swimming.
Small cafe and also outlet to rent all types of boards.
It has the most glorious sunsets - different each day varying with the weather. I highly recommend this super Devon beach.

The beach is beautiful. Unfortunately the same can not be said about the attitude of the girl on the car park kiosk. £12 for parking!!!! Unbelievable!!!!!!

4 cars in our party, we arrived around 1pm on Saturday 5th August, and were still charged full price for parking for a few hours, £50 for parking is absolutely beyond belief.
As if the price wasn’t bad enough, Girlie pop on the stand snatched the money out of my hand without a thank you. Manners cost nothing but parking at putsbo

After a lovely walk from woolacombe to Putsborough sands with my family we decided on breakfast before the walk back. After the most ridiculous in and out system (which everyone was moaning about) we had four breakfast baps and four drinks. After being absolutely ripped of for over £40 the food was completely inedible. In fact we threw it in the bin. Appalling!!

AWFUL…. Not even a 1

Super rude staff. Extremely unorganised. Prices through the roof. Only facilities being toilets.

Views are beautiful but I would never this “campsite” again due to the incompetence of its staff. It is NOT a campsite….it’s an expensive car park!!!!!!

You pay £60 a night to be parked / crammed onto a gravel strip. No showers and super unwelcoming staff.

This has to be one of the best beaches in North Devon, although the drive to it along narrow lanes is a little scary.. Car parking is reasonably near, as are the toilets. Some may feel hat the car park is pricey, but if you have a car of 5 its only £2 each!
There is a reduced rate in the afternoons.. There is lot of golden sand and no pebbles or rocks to negotiate in order to get on the beach. .We took out grandson to show him what a lovely beach u is and he agreed . He especially loved the fact that there is a footwashing hosepipe, and there are also showers. The beach cafe is nice but that is the one thing that i a little pricey.

The car park is the big problem here. It's quite expensive for the day. However, the issue is you can't pay by the hour, which means stopping off here for an hour or two is just not possible. Although lovely, it's not worth the full day rate for a short trip.
