Nice Castle to be visited

Great visit to the 2 castles in one. The first one medieval and the second much more modern. Guided visits are offered in 4 €. Nice visit even with family and kids.

This is where the filmed one of the Musketeer films. The castle is on to of the hill above the town is best approached from the S where a set of steps leads up from by the river. The approach from the town gate is very steep.

We traveled the road of El Cid today on discover the castle closed! The hours of operation are in line with the Spanish siesta hours, plan accordingly. While there are descriptive notices around the castle they are all in Spanish, hopefully some english translations are in the future!
