Went especially to see this spring's special exhibition of Edvard Munch and Jorn. Beautiful and colourful pairing. Espicially the Munchs were lovely to see. Impressive collection of COBRA work, The setting along Gudenåen is stunning even in winter, Lucky to have a sprinkling of snow. Café with a view and friendly service.

Very friendly staff, nice coffee and cheesecake in the cafe, but the exhibitions were most enjoyable. Far more extensive than expected and nicely interactive. The (english!) texts were very well written and useful.

Went to watch the brilliant work of Asger Jorn and found so much more. The collection of COBRA work is really magnificent and we brought both small children (5-7) and teenagers (13-16), who really enjoyed - as did the parents - the interactive parts of the exhibition. We ended up spending several hours painting and experiencing. Go there!

This is a wonderful collection of works made by Asger Jorn and collected by him. It is absolutely worth a detour!! Especially the tapestry "the long journey" is wonderfully displayed. It is nice to have lunch in the garden after your visit.

Showing the changes in Jorn's art. Has very good guided tours. Location by the small river in Silkeborg, and close to at good playground for children.

Honestly I found the walk to the museum and the treed area outside along the river a lot more interesting and relaxing. There are so many beautiful buildings in this city and the museum is not one. If you have spare time I would visit it but if you have limited time I wouldn't go
