This was a good center that managed to teach us. We missed a bit more storytelling; there’s a lot of facts and it would be nice to get examples and context. The Ivo Caprino movie is VERY dated.

There are three floors of exhibits on Norwegian wildlife, nature, and climate. The exhibits are interactive and well done. There is a 20 minute panoramic film that simulates a helicopter ride above the fjord. There's a restaurant/gift shop across the street that has resident goats on its sod roof.…

We took a tour from our cruise ship that was docked in beautiful Eidfjord to the nature centre. We thought there would be live native animals but there was only stuffed ones. However the centre was very interesting, informative & well worth the visit.

This place is rich in culture, images and objects, you can enjoy the cinematic view of the region through a helicopter and you can feel like flying in the sky deep in the picturesque nature. You should visit this place. It is suitable for children as well.

The centre is informative and covers all areas from farming to the geology of Hardangervidda and the rest of Norway, the information is presented clearly and concisely in short chunks. I was particularly impressed by the rock work which looks like the real thing, not to mention the attention to detail which cover every aspect of nature. The staff were friendly and helpful and were available to answer any of my questions. The place is worth as a short break to a journey especially as one can make use of the nearby restaurant which is also part of the visitor centre. …
