Learned a few facts about Eidfjord

Could have walked around but decided to take this train. The ride was rather disappointing as it was too short but then again this is a small place.

This is a very very small town but if you venture out there is some wonderful scenery. The train is an easy way to get around if you don't feel like walking. You get to see Viking graves (pile of rocks) an old church, great veiw of the fjord. On the other side of the valley is a shop that... More

The Troll Train was nice - it pootles around Eidfjord and there is an audio tour giving you the details of the pretty little town and there are some good view point stop offs.Train also runs very regularly when there are cruise ships in. Having already been on these road train trips in other parts of Norway with a wheelchair, it was very disappointing to be told that we could not participate in the excursion here. On closer examination both trains had disabled access but the drivers were not prepared to help us and the Tourist Office were less than helpful even though they... More

This tourist train I would only recommend if like to drive this kind of trains (city tourist trains) or travel with kids. There is nothing spesial to see in this tour and the fjord view is not particular better than if you are standng in the harbour - but the kids enjoyed driving the train with views of horses and...
