We loved this unique outdoor museum. Took the 10:15 express bus from Oslo and arrived at 11:30. Wandered the property and took in all the sculptures and original art. I especially enjoyed the historic paper pulp factory. Our only mistake was leaving on the 2:30 bus to visit the glass factory 15 minutes up the road. Not worth the visit and we were stuck there until 4:30 when the bus returned to Oslo. Spend the entire day at Kistefos and pass on the glass factory. Totally unique place.

Before to visit this museum, I thought whether it's good to take about 1hr30min (one-way) to go here from the central station. Having checked their website, the artworks were beautiful. Then I decided to come here. Finally, we were not disappointed except it was raining all the day. The artworks were very great and special. We took many pictures for everything. I might be regret if I did not come here. Location: It is easy to go by the express bus from the central station. But remember to check the schedule before hand. It is only one bus to the museum and one bus back to the central station per day Food: There is a cafe in the museum. Though it was not many selections of food, it's still good to having lunch here. Staff: They were really polite and helpful. Family: I think it's a good museum for family. No matter young children or teens, they will enjoy here. The W.C. of washrooms of the twist was special. Remember to check it out.

Made a lovely day trip from Oslo. Lovely spot with plenty to see. You can spend a couple of hours here easily. Cool bridge. Lots of photo ops They seem to be adding new stuff as they go. Took in the King's View on tbe way back to round off the day
