I have known this venue for over 60 years! Whilst in some ways I agree with the sentiments of some other reviewers - about it 'not being the same' etc - I too, remember in the dim distant past, when it was very different to...More

A lovely visit for all to enjoy. Families with children seem to love it. Lots to see and open all year.

Sorry not impressed at all. Small. Not keen on museums so it's a no no from us. It's free that's one good thing.

Lovely place to take the kids - lots for them to see and do, and has a lovely park at the side if you want to feed the ducks or take a picnic.

A surprisingly interesting museum. It contains a variety of interactive displays which are good for children. It is free so also great for families. Well worth a visit.

The winter gardens is a good place to take kids, the museum has 3 floors with lots of hands on things for kids, and adults. It's free, so you can't go wrong.
