Massive landscaped lawns gardens, and lake. Loads of history, and theres a museum in its grounds. Take a picnic, and enjoy some peace and quiet.

This is a nice park to have a walk around in and explore, the only down side to this is the lovely pond is filled with rubbish.

Nice city park near the center of Sunderland. Take a coffee at the terrace of the Winter gardens and enjoy the birds playing around in the water in front of the terrace. Walk up the hill in the park to have great view of the surrounding area. Also look at the statue on the hill from the photo position.

Mowbray |Park is a beautiful, well kept park. The lake is very calming and shaped beautifully. With the parks historic statues, memorials and cannons it is steeped with history. There are concrete lions surrounding the lake which children take pleasure in having their photographs taken sitting on them. Very spacious and not at all what one would expect to find... More

One must be honest and say that Sunderland is not the most inspiring or attractive city, however interesting its history; it is helped, however, by this attractive park - part of which is the city's war memorial - near its centre. Interestingly, though, it isn't immediately obvious from only a short distance away. It is attractive and well landscaped. The... More

Always a great place to come in the summer when the sun is blaring. Historic statues, cannons, memorials, park for the kids, convenient ice cream van and the grass and floral arrangements are always well-kept.
