Visited today with my little girl as we had booked to do a morning of activities. The activities were interesting and fun while being educational and my little girl was pleased with what she made. The staff were all knowledge while being so friendly and approachable. We come here fairly regularly as it's a lovely walk along the river whether... More

My son and I were visiting my partner for the Airshow weekend! On the Sunday we decided to visit you as you are literally just across the river from my partners home, yet he had never been to visit you. What an absolute gem of a find. Great cafe! Sunday lunch was awesome! Loved the glassblowing demonstration so much I... More

Dropped into the glass centre this afternoon around three o clock with my eight year old grandson He headed for the clay activity which incurred nominal charge of three pounds. He spent a full hour concentrating upon making a clay bowl and decorating it. Other activities are available at different times in the day From there he headed downstairs and... More

Went to Glass Centre with mother and sisters for afternoon tea. Lovely spot in the restaurant watching the world go by on the water and alongside the river. Had rang up with special request for vegetarian and wholemeal bread, not a problem for them at all. Tea was sandwiches, little cakes and scones and cream, really attractive to look at... More

What a find - if you are interested in how glass objects are made then this museum is a must. Not only is there exhibitions that trace the history of glass making in the UK but there are also demonstrations on how glass objects are made from start to finish. We watch an amazing demo by glass blower Dave Martin... More

Visited glass centre opened at 10am but no lift was working, no hot food ready and shop not ready for custom. If open to the public at 10:00am services within the centre also need to be ready. A disappointing visit this time round

Great exhibits and a good café/restaurant with a smashing terrace on the river's edge. Combine the Glass Centre with a coffee and/or a meal right on the river Wear. The river bank walk is very popular taking you to the twin resorts of Roker (via the marina) then on to Seaburn.

visited with friends on a trip up north and I was very impressed with what was on offer. So many beautiful things on display and the view from the rooftop walk is amazing. Great view of Sunderland riverside. I wish I had taken my camera with me. Will most definitely return with friends in the future
