If you are interested in Transport then this is a place to visit. Whilst mainly the exhibits seem to be Buses there are Cars, Vans and larger Commercial vehicles to see. Also there are such things as ticket machines and models. The really good thing is that most exhibits have details of their history to read. Most of the Buses... More

Volunteer run and in what was a bus depot. A fine collection of public transport vehicles plus a number of cars (mainly 60s vintage) and a number of artifacts. A 50s vintage TV and a comptometer took my eye. Probably a couple of hours to get round so a comfortable afternoon. Opens on weekends only when parking is free but... More

I visited this museum at the beginning of March. It is the ideal place to visit if you want to see many of the old buses that would take us off to school in our younger days. This is where our grand children can learn about the 'good old days'. Well worth a visit.

Been past this place hundreds of time and think I've only been in there once. Went again with the family and proved to be a good afternoon out. Do feel it's all done on a bit of a shoe-string and the staff appear to be volunteers - but that adds to the whole experience. Some nice vehicles to look at... More

A great place to visit on a trip to St Helens. Just outside the centre near the walk in centre. Parking outside. Good on a rainy day and time to take in the vast array of vehicles.

I've been here a few times and each time spend longer and longer. I'm not a bus nutter by any stretch of the imagination, but the collection here sparks that small area of my brain marked nostalgia and actually wanting to know more about some in history. This place has some excellent exhibits and quite a number of the vehicles... More

I took my son here as he's keen on buses he is aged 8 and overall he enjoyed it. The prices are reasonable but in fairness it's not a big place and you could only last 1-2hrs max there. Lots of buses some you can explore. The history is good but very adult focused. Clean and well kept. No cafe... More
