If you are looking for an inexpensive day out with friends or family, then head on up to the Southern Lighthouse, followed by the Mohegan Bluffs. The walk is quite long and tiring as it is up a hill, but the view of and from the lighthouse is so worth it. Just pack water and snacks, and ensure you wear... More

The lighthouse is located a short distance from Mohegan Bluffs and its staircase down to the sea. Its picturesque and the breeze is invigorating, especially on a hot summer day. Its mostly an uphill hike or bike ride, not an easy trek for those not use to doing something like this. An alternate solution is to take a taxi up... More

This is one of the two lighthouses on the island and it has a beautiful view of the ocean and the bluffs. I would go to see the sunrise or the sunset and go to the top of the lighthouse. The stairs going to the top are a little bit steep but when you get to the top and see... More

Worth a quick stop -- great views of the nearby coastline, and fascinating history. No more than 15-20 minute stop, but worthwhile if you're nearby. Note: there's a food truck here as well, so good place for a quick stop for a snack or drink (Del's!)

This is a very pretty lighthouse located in an extremely picturesque place, but there isn't much to see or do at the lighthouse. It is a good place to relax and picnic on the grass.

Lovely old light house!! They are doing some restorative work on the light house, which is pretty cool to see. Also the view is gorgeous, and you get to see the islands new wind farm :)

There are two lighthouses on the island and this is one of the must see places on the island. It has been very well restored. There is not much to it but it is an important part of our 19th century history. It is a brief stop but worth the effort.

A great deal of history and environmental issues connected to this structure. We witnessed its move several years ago

Always check to make sure open, seasonal. Old school food truck located on lighthouse property. Grab an original RI Del's lemonade.
