Recommended by a family member, this tiny fudge shop was one of the best parts of our visit to Block island. A little out of the way, but worth asking directons to be sure you find it! All the chocolates and fudge are handmade by the owner, Sheila, and are by far the best we've ever eaten. We tried the... More

This fudge shop lures you in with the smell of chocolate. The displays of fudge and candy make you blow your diet and treat yourself to an indulgence. Well you are on vacation!

Best fudge on Block Island, but I have had better fudge in other places, most notably Mackinac Island, MI. When you walk in store you do not get wonderful aromas evidence that fudge is made on site.

My S.O. is a chocoholic and we try fudge everywhere and all he says after trying a piece somewhere else int he world is, "I have to get to Block, this is not the same". Try them all! The Penuche is the absolutely fav though. OMG Yummy!

Went in here because I like fudge. There's a bunch of jars with individual candies like "sharks" or "pixie stix" and you can fill a bag with your choices. And the fudge. Root beer, creamsicle, chookies N creme, snickers, maple walnut...etc etc. When we visited, you could buy a pound of fudge and get a 1/4 pound free. So we... More

Last Friday 8/28/15 was my first visit to Block Island and before going I read reviews for "great chocolate" on Block Island. I must say all the reviews are true! Block of Fudge is amazing! I tried the Fudge with Sea Salt. My only complaint, I did not buy enough :(

We LOVE this candy shop. Ms. Sheila makes amazing and creative fudge- this is the fudge to bring home from vacation. Her candy wall is stocked with ample fresh candy. There are no stale selections. The packaged selection is creative and fun. AND you have to try two things: the hand dipped salted carmels and the chocolate covered bacon.

We are regular Block Island vacationers and always make several stops at Sheila's Blocks of Fudge store. She makes the best fresh fudge I've ever had. My kids love this place and so do we. The owner, Sheila, is friendly and always appreciative of the business. Make it a stop on your next trip to the Island

We always stop at the fudge shop. They also have a few exotic things, like chocolate bacon and chocolate crickets. The staff is local and friendly? During July and August be prepared to wait. And, consider visiting the Island in May or October. Less crowded, cheaper accommodations, and just as beautiful. Take home some extra fudge.

BACON! And potato chips. It's not just about the fudge, and there is a lot of it...The other treats and confections are just as good. Great place to try something new.
