The shopping street of le Touquet

Long shoppingstreet with different brands of clothing as well as food. Many restaurants are here or in side streets. It is often only for pedestrians.

There are loads of shops bars and restaurants. Great for a walk or a meal or some shopping. Can be an additional activity before or after visiting the beach. There is a Carrefour city and a great little patisserie.

The covered market in the picture is actually located at Rue Jean Monnet, rather than Rue St Jean. It combines a cross section of produce - fish, green grocery, dairy and butchery under the covered section with dry goods on stalls - which on can see in the picture. Both the food and the selection of dry goods on offer... More

Rue St Jean is a pedestrianized street of shops and cafes running eastwards from the promenade. It has a wide range of shops, some good cafes and restaurants and no traffic. What it does not have is a market. The market is in Market Square which is some way south along Rue de Metz.

The market square is bustling during market day, some of the goods on sale are expensive. The indoor market has fresh veg and fish among other produce. Le Touquet has a nice atmosphere, and plenty of good restaurants.

Le Touquet has so much to offer the British tourist and is worth multiple visits. The beach and promenade are stylish. The shops distinctive with produce of real quality. The weekly market is a must see and it is a pleasure to eat here too. The architecture of the whole town is worth a visit alone and the style almost... More
