About
Interested to see how we brew our award winning beers? Intrigued to see how we maintain Pure Quality in every beer? Or curious to find out how we how have created a successful, eco friendly and energy efficient brewery? Why don’t you join us on one of our popular and award winning brewery tours. We run 2 types of tour at the brewery – Saturday tours and weeknight private tours. Every Saturday at 10.30am and 2pm we take a guided tour of the brewery followed by a tasting session in the beautiful oak-beamed visitor centre. You’ll hear all about the origins of the company and discover the brewing passion that goes into perfecting every pint of Purity. Perfect for individuals, couples and smaller groups. On the weeknight evening tours we can host private groups of between 10 and 20 people on an exclusive experience. You will hear the Purity story over a pint of our award winning ales in the visitor centre. We will talk to you about Paul and Jim’s founding principles for Purity, offer a brief discussion of brewing history and take you a private tour of our state of the art brewhouse and wetland system* to see just how far we’ve come. The evening is then topped off in the form of a farm cooked Longhorn Beef Stew or Chilli matched to our beers to round off the night. With meat from a heritage herd that’s raised on our farm you won’t find a more ‘grain to glass’ or ‘field to fork’ experience. These private group tours are perfect for clubs, sports teams or corporate looking for something extra special and fun. Plus the brewery shop will be well stocked with Purity beers and speciality ales for you to take home at the end and continue the journey.

Excellent tour
Dec 2019
Great experience on a morning beer tour, well hosted by Nick from sales.
Nice beer before we set off, good information given before we went for a look around the whole place. Then back for another beer before getting the chance to shop.
Experience was even better for us as only 4 people including ourselves there 😀

It was a good experience
Nov 2019 • Friends
The tour was a xmas present from my son, we were very excited when the day came, so for me, John the tour guy could have delivered the whole experience so much better, I felt that he really didn't want to be there, he seemed very tired (as though he had a heavy decision the night before) he kept rubbing his head and tired eyes. Sorry but for me... he could have sold it much better. The overall experience was ok.

Excellent Brewery tour
Nov 2019
So it's 10:45am on a Saturday morning and I'm drinking a 5.8% black ale that is being launched today .... what could go wrong?? Well nothing actually. An excellent tour host took us on not only a physical tour but a literary and historical one too which was very entertaining and informative. For anyone interested in the brewing process, beer, the history of a local brewery, ecology, drinking, or any combination of these this is a highly recommended tour.

Perfect start to a day

Visited Purity Brewery as its local and I love their ales. This fairly young company are based on a rural farm and have great ethics in the way the business in managed which produces a great range of beers and lager ( even a gin and a cider now too) . The tour is really relaxed and informative and Ally was a great host . The ethos is one of being eco friendly, producing a few high quality products that they can be proud of, it seems to be working as they are now distributing as far as the North West and South Coast in a very competitive market place.. The farm where the brewery is located has a few animals that have inspired some of the branding and provides the space for the business to recylce most of its water through reed beds. The story behind the UBU names was again inspired by the farms inhabitant! You get a relaxed pre tour briefing over a glass of beer in the bar , a gentle paced tour through the whole site with detailed explanations and then a very relaxed tasting of whatever you want back in the bar. Could ask for more and the relaxed and informative atmosphere encouraged lots of questions from us all. Really great tour and great value. Good place to take friends. Also look out for their cycling events ( with beer of course) ? Next year ne 9 th November to relaunch a winter brew, Saddleblack.

Paul can organise an excellent p1ss up in a brewery. Great beer and really interesting seeing and hearing about the brewing process. Went with a bunch of boys and had a blast. For an accountant Paul has an excellent personality and is a great ambassador for the brand. Thanks guys!

Great beer but with a confused tour guide
Jun 2019 • Family
The tour runs with around 20 people and we had guests mixed of all ages. The tour started a bit shaky with our tour guide (from marketing and doesn’t typically run the tours) we started with a half pint which was great and i’d definitely recommend the lawless lager.

However, as the tour progressed it seemed uninformed and confused. It didn’t flow in a logical format and a lot of the brewing process didn’t get explained very well. We had a lot of good information backed up by Ben, the brewer. Our group also seemed very confrontational and this wasn’t solved by the tour guide, instead solved by members of the tour group.

Shame because we love the beer and regularly buy from here. However, the tour wasn’t as good as small scale breweries we have been to before and it was a shame as this is top quality beer. For £55 for 3 of us it seemed overpriced.

Brewery Tour de Force!
May 2019
What an excellent tour led by John from Purity's Front of House Team! The event began with a warm welcome in the bar and an interesting history of Purity and what they are about. As we walked around, John explained things in a really engaging manner with lots of humour and relevant anecdotes and he welcomed our spontaneous questions. The tour ended back at the bar with a chance to sample further excellent beers from Purity's range. Thank you for an excellent visit! We thought it would be good; it was even better than anticipated. It was superb!
