Fabulous market full of local people buying food, few tourists. Amazing fish market in the centre, surrounded by fruit/veg stalls and meat etc. Lovely old building with original market stalls.

Very central place to find fresh seafood or food. Local feeling, not touristic at all. Busy at the mornings .

I am a fan of markets, not just seeing, smelling but watching people go about their shopping for fresh produce. Peaches like peaches used to taste before we had under-ripe fruit that have travelled thousands of miles in refrigerated containers. I was tempted to buy...More

Set right in the centre of town this is definitely worth a visit. It compares favourably to any market at home and is entertaining as well as functional. You are overwhelmed by the smells, noise and atmosphere of the place and the produce is excellent....More
