Another stunning location next to the Roman Theatre making the overall visit very easy. Good underfoot conditions on a well signed walking route. Some steps but with care these are managable

Laid out well with lots of information to show you about the various types of gladiators. The ampitheatre was completed in 8BC which isn't as as the city wasn't settled until 25BC by veterans of the V and X legions. Very good value as well...More

Another wonderful spectacle in Merida! Easy to walk around and you can go onto the arena and try to visualise all that went on here! Good descriptions of various gladiators are provided.

This place is a must for all visitors to Merida. Beautifully preserved and full of interesting angles for the amature photographer. A good spot for families as the kids will also find it interesting and have space to play around.

Not as crowded as ruins in Italy - you can really imagine the townspeople using this facility centuries ago. Try to have a guide.
