We were deeply impressed by this ancient Roman architecture, beautifully preserved in the middle of Merida. We consider ourselves lucky to have been able to see it!

The Romans were well ahead of their time as you must admire the huge structures they designed and built all over the world.

After seeing the Roman ampatheatre, this was a bit of a let down. Although, it was still interesting to see this structure still standing in the middle of a developed city.

Really well preserved example giving you an idea of the grandeur of these temples. I think this one last edited so well as a 15th century nobleman built his house in the middle of it. Extra ticket to go up and wander in the house...More

The temple is unfenced, and anyone visiting should make the effort to see this amazing monument, It is not possible to walk on the structure. Plenty of information provided for tourists.

We had a meal in a side cafe overlooking this site. It is really fascinating that it has survived through all the intervening years. It has definately become a ssymbol of Merida and rightly so, do not miss it.

Perfectly preserved temple in the middle of the city! You don't ned a ticket as it is located in plain sight on the street. Definitely a must when in Merida!

Simply great!! In the middle of the street such a monument! Take a rest and have a drink in one of the places around it! Views deserve it!

Excellent temple in the centre of Merida, free to access. Several information boards that find the history of the site from Roman through Moorish and Renaissance phases. Very photogenic. If you're in Merida for the theatre then well worth the few minutes walk into town.

Small sight in the middle of the town. Enough to walk by, no descriptions provided. Not sure whether it can be visited from inside.
