The old Roman bridge over the river was used for two thousand years until 1991 when the Lusitania Bridge opened. It took the motor traffic and left the Roman bridge to handle pedestrians exclusively. The Lusitania is both appealing visually and of great practical use....More

We only saw it from the park. It's a modern bridge with it's modern arch, supporting modern vehicles.

The Roman bridge was apparently the longest of the Roman Empire; it is a pleasant walk on top, and an extension takes you down to a mid-way point with gardens. Well-maintained, and free!
