First time visited and ate at a Pizzeria/ Italian Restaurant just round the corner. Not really able to get the full length of the bridge due to its length, trees & sight lines. Impressive!!!

Well preserved but having seen a fair number of Roman Bridges in other Spanish cities, once you have seen one they are all pretty similar.

We saw the bridge immediately upon driving into the city, and went back to spend some time exploring it. Very cool sight. The entire city of Merida is full of Roman ruins, which made this one of the most interesting and delightful cities to explore....More

it's a pleasant walk over this long, impressive Roman bridge. and if you feel like, you can take the way off in the middle and wonder around the island. all very pleasant, car free.

Good photos can be had from the ramparts of the adjacent Alcazar. This gives you a nice shot of the new bridge down the river as well.

At the edge of the Roman part of town it is still being used and presents a good entrance to the historic centre.
